LeandroJardim
Hi, I m collecting some PDF books about programming in BASIC and ASM for the ATARI 8 bits but I found only a few. I know for the C64 and ZX Spectrum some books from thirdy-part companies, but for the ATARI I know only the books listed in atariarchives.org. I love 8 bit computers and would like to spread the knowledge about these little beasts. Somebody can help me about where I can find books in PDF? And could also answer if there are any companies building today ATARI 800, C64, and ZX Spectrum clones? I will try the books on the ATARI800 emulator, but would be more fun to try on an original one. And do not forget: the computers of the past were much more fun than of today!

I had to shut down the service in 2007 because of security issues (the server has been hacked). The plan is to re-create the Infothek later this year. Until then you need to search throughthe file system. --- Carsten

gjc082071
Your post is over a year old so I am not sure if your are either still into Atari & 8-bit PC programming, or if you already found everything you needed/wanted. In any event, I found a crap load of awesome Atari 8-bit PC programming books! There's probably 50 to 100 in total. Here are just a few example titles. 101 Atari Computer Programming Tips & Tricks.pdf Advanced Programming Techniques for the Atari.pdf Adventures with the Atari.pdf An Atari 8-bit Extra.pdf Assembly Language Programming For Atari Computers.pdf Atari BASIC.pdf Atari BASIC Learning by Using.pdf Computes First Book of Atari.pdf Computes Second Book of Atari Graphics.pdf Inside Atari BASIC.pdf Machine Language for Beginners.pdf Here is the link/address http://ftp.pigwa.net/stuff/collections/Atari%208-bit%20Books/ You also mentioned Commodore 64. I don't know what you found/have, but just in case your interested, here are a ton of C64 (&some Vic20/C128) PDF books. http://www.bombjack.org/commodore/ Well, I hope this helps you & you enjoy them! UNIXcoffee928
"De Re Atari", "Atari Roots", "Mapping the Atari", "The Creative Atari", & "Your Atari Computer" are my favorites... If you read those five, cover to cover, you'll be in good shape. Edited June 20, 2011 by UNIXcoffee928

cas
Is there an FTP route to this, or just HTTP? Just HTTP. I've build a protoype of the new Infothek system, but there was never consensus among the team members how to proceed, that is the reason why the files are still only available this way.
