Hello and glad to be here, very great site!

I am wondering if someone might take the time to explain in plain English how these 'flashcards' work? I'm speaking specifically of the ones for the Nintendo SP and DS. I know there are several inexpensive parts involved, but beyond that, only choppy YouTube 'tutorials' that really don;t teach much...?
