Many thanks, Hubert !
... but I'm lookin' for a scan/img right because I don't want to buy VCS' bundles and pay more-than-50$ for a heavy shipping (Italy)...

Well, guys... with the help of Georgio, a good brazilian AtariAge friend who provided some pictures of his VCS box and all the needed measures, this is my little job: (as always: picts are reduced and compressed for a "light" upload here...)

(imgs cut and assembled together with the correct measures)

(imgs processed with a photo editor)
02_VCS_BOX_assembled.jpg

(img restored...)

Unfortunately the smallest writings are almost incomprehensible... but I think it could be a good starting point :) !

Cool scan of the VCS box.
Another favour to ask, can you do Strawberry Shortcake?

How exactly are you going to print that thing full scale and to a good resolution?

High Voltage:
SS is a rarity 4 I don't own, so it's not planned. Remember I do these little works in my spare time which lately has been drastically reduced...

tz101:
I already know a cartonboxes factory, and it's so near my work place. The thing is to know if they COULD do it and how much I'll spend for it !
I saw many coloured nice boxes coming out from them... basically carton for toys. So if they are able to do a slotcar racetrack carton they'll SURE (but not much... :ponder:) could do such a box for me !

I repeat: they're NOT professional... I could have spent more for a pro-bending (I still dont't know HOW much...), which could avoid me to make a "light-cut" line with a simple cutter (and that's why you see the white line on every edge..).

Have you tried scoring the intended fold with a 'bone folder' (it's a pointy but smooth piece of bone - they sell them at some art supply shops, or book binding business) or you could find something plastic like a disposable plastic knife - then you could fold without having to score the line.

Kudos to you for such remarkable work to reproduce these boxes. =)

Some considerations to remove the white seams on the folds:

- the bone folder is a good idea as suggested above

- another excellent option which I use myself are "scoring tools" which can be found at craft stores; they have multiple size "ball-points" that conveniently score lines into paper and/or cardstock without breaking the surface. Imagine something along the lines of using a ballpoint pen (without the ink, of course) to score. I use them frequently as I am a package designer myself plus do papercraft as a hobby. I'll send you the link when I find them online.

Email me if you have any questions; I'd be happy to help. =)

Okay, after some quick research (and recollection of my memory) I've found out that they're embossing tools. If you go to this site and scroll down a bit you'll arrive to a section named "Tools Sets from Ten Second Studio" ...there's a tool in the left most column (second tool from top) that closely resembles the tool I use, except mine has a wooden handle and is double ended (two different size ball tips).

Doing further research I've seen a recommendation for a "cutting needle" by Martor (#810), which can be found here. This has a very, very fine point, and I've never used it but it piques my curiosity so I may purchase one to try it out. Another tool Martor has which is also very similar to what I have is their Rubbing Ball Pin #830.

Hope this helps. When I find the product that I use myself I'll share it with you.

I'll see if I can dig up some stuff I've made lately. Most of my papercraft as of late has been creating centerpieces for my son's bday parties.

Note: I think I'd misinterpreted the appearance of your white lines. At first I thought they were white due to the scoring (where the scoring tool removed or scratched the pigment/ink, revealing the white paper underneath). I went back and read that you'd created the 1px white line for folding reference.

Have you considered creating score marks just outside of the printed area to eliminate the need for the white 1px line? All you would need afterward is a straightedge to align with the score marks, thereby guiding your scoring tool down the necessary paths. It may be more work to create, but the end result would be exquisite. =)

Difficulty A !

Thanks for all your help !
I'll sure make treasure of your advices !
I'm goin' to produce some other boxes and if those hints will really be good ( as I suppese it's 100% sure ! ) I think I'll make re-print all the boxes I have already done ( 0.20€ each is a very good price ! ) .
Remove the 1pixel lines... the last dozen of reproboxes templates have black lines on the edge (then of course on the white part ) of the images... When I'll be back home I'll post one of them to make you see...

I have a box...but it's Darth Vader box and not that one! :lust: That would be awesome for my light sixer!

Yes, I know it's a 4-switch, but it's still cool!

Unfortunately no one provided me the 6-switch box scans/phots... so it's the only one I had to work on  !
I have a PAL L6 ! I'm still waiting for a W6 box pics and I also asked for them in some italian forums... (hoping to get the italian W6 one)
But if you're interested in that W4, well here it is (compressed and half scale... due to the 2MB limit of uploaded pics)

___!!! "HALF SCALE" means : 1 pixel = 1/2 cm ( 5 mm ) in "our" decimal scale !!!___

Don't mean to make you guys jealous...but i'll try.
This is the machine I use at work all day for cutting mounts for artwork framing.
Just think of the possibilities !! :D
Plus it has 3 grades of debossing tools - perfect for those folds.

(btw - not my video - but it is the same cutter I use at work)

The only catch!!!... and it will make you a little less jealous, is that the boss would kill me if she walked in and there was a stack of atari flat packs on the bench ;)
(though I could try one i spose!)
