[Cebus Capucinis]

This is another long shot but I want to get the Wizardry series CIB as well, or loose disk if absolutely necessary. Either PC/PCjr or Apple ][ but I'd like it to be consistent between the system. Anyone have any of these games on disk or CIB to sell me?

I have Wizardry: Bane of the Cosmic Forge for... you guessed it - the Amiga!

Have you ever played these? I remember a good friend of mine went ape shit over the series back in the day. Had it on his ][c and then later, the Amiga. I could NEVER get in 'em though. Seemed way too primitive in a graphical sense, but I guess there was a lot of depth there for the hardcore RGP'ers. I don't mind other hard core RGP's such as the AD&D games, but Wizardry <shutters>, I dunno.

Whoa, just popped this in... nothing like the Apple ][ I remember from back in the day. All I remember about the Apple version was a b/w screen with white wireframes and an awful lot of text. The Amiga version is a full graphical RPG, like Ultima, D&D, etc. My bad thinking the Wizardry stuff was all the same. Until you land some copies for yourself, enjoy this little Wizardry teaser pic

I've played them before, sure! I really like the 'hardcore' RPGs like Bard's Tale, Wizardry, Ultima, etc. -- I'm trying to get back into playing all of them.

I've got an extra boxed copy of Proving Grounds for the A2. It's likely to have some condition issues, is probably missing some paperwork (but has the manual), and I don't know off hand whether the disk even works.

I hate to sound self-serving, but my willingness to invest my time into finding the answers to those questions would be contingent on how much the game is worth. Any ideas?

...and I think you could have easily just said "Sure, I've got it, let me see if it works, how much are you willing to pay?" instead of making it sound like I'm inconveniencing you by wanting to buy something.

If anybody else has this I am willing to pay fair value for it. I have seen some loose copies on eBay go for around $10, I'd be willing to pay up to $20 for CIB titles. I'm negotiable on that though depending on condition. Obviously Wizardry I is the $20 neighborhood, newer titles will likely cost more and we'll talk about that more. First up is Wizardry I though.
