I had a bunch of these magazines for years and they had some nice reviews although I typically disagreed with a lot of them, especially J. Clark's. I was wondering if anyone knows if these people are still in the industry at all or what happened to them?

I wish I knew. I have a handful of their mags, and their reviews were a pleasure to read. I can find very little info about this magazine. oddly enough, i found a TV commercial for it in my torrented videos.

I guess I wasn't really looking for anyone in particular, I was just wondering if J. Clark and E.C. Meade were still in the business or what happened to them. I always liked their reviews as they were well written and fun to read.

I wrote two articles for Videogaming and Computergaming Illustrated: Tragic Imagic in December 1983, and the Strategic Scenerio in January 1984.

Wow! Sorry, I just now checked this topic again, I figured it was dead.

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately I would look through my old magazines again but I sold them a long time ago. I think I remember the Tragic Imagic story. I imagine you met some really interesting people working during that period. What was your experience working for the magazine?

No interesting stories to tell. They asked me to do the article. Unfortunately, I kept playing telephone tag with the people at Activision and never got to talk to anyone there. In the end, I wrote an article about why I speculated that Imagic was having problems. I turned that in to the editors and they didn't like it so they wrote their own article and gave me the byline (and paid me). And then they asked me to do an article on strategic videogames.
