YYYYYEEEESSSS!!!

I used to love that game. I'm 39 years old this year and I played the shit out of Descent in the mid-90's on the PC. I also used to play Descent II a lot. I'm a big fan of some Interplay published games. I saw Stonekeep is on there too.

THANK YOU FOR LETTING US KNOW!

:lust: :lust: :lust:

The controls I think may make this game even better according to this:

I also hope they clean up the graphics or at least give us some smoothing. I have the PS1 version of Descent and it was rather blocky.

Cannot wait for this to come out. Thanks for that link. I recently found some Descent hacks to get those games working on Windows 7 and I have played a little descent recently. Thanks to people like this :)

You've got to be kidding me?? This is awesome news! Descent is a gem from the '90s that seems to be mostly forgotten these days.

(Now if only they would bring this to the OTHER systems.. :ponder:)

I have been playing the Xbox homebrew port of this recently. It brings back good memories. Great game!

I remember playing Descent..
I'd spend hours (it felt like it anyway) exploring this "new" area, only to realize I was upside down and still in the same place I had been before.. ;-)
That game got me lost all the time, but it was fun..

Descent makes me motion-sick faster than any other game ever made. If I ever need to induce vomiting, I'll buy the WiiWare version. :)

I'm not a big fan of downloadable games in general, but, you know... I've got some spare Wii points. I just might have to grab this. It will justify having the DXX-Rebirth ports of the games on my PC.

Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but any further word on Stone Keep? I believe it was announced about the same time as Descent and being published by the same company, but I've read nothing further of it.

Interplay lists Stonekeep for the 4th Quarter 2010 on their hompage, but I highly doubt that they'll deliver it within these few remaining weeks. So far they haven't even shown screenshots.

Descent (and MDK 2!) for WiiWare should arrive pretty soon now. Interplay just published a page with screenshots of them:

For some, the game was already puketastic. Now you want it to be super puketacular? Posted Image

All it needs is a 360 degree moving chair and 150 field of view :D .

Some homebrewer seriously kicking Interplays butt by simply delivering what they promise for over a year now. He even got the guts to announce it right on Interplays message boards :lolblue:
