Can anyone make me a 7800 or 2600 cart for Zoo Keeper?
Taito Legends (ps2) has Zoo Keeper on it and I love that game, but would rather have it dumped onto a 7800 cart if possible..

Will paypal cash if the price is affordable.

Thank you....

I don't know of a 7800 Zoo Keeper, but it was done on the 2600 (though unreleased). Unfortunately, no prototype has been found.

This is "non-trivial" and the probability of this happening is near zero, especially since this game is likely in someone's hands and will hopefully be either released or discovered (and released) at some point in the future.

No, that will not work as what's on the PS2 disc is either an arcade emulator running the original arcade game code or a straight port of the game to the PS2. Either way, it's not usable. A 2600 version of Zoo Keeper would need to be written from scratch.

The ROM on the PS2 game is most certainly not that of the 2600 version. It's either a new version completely, or the arcade version being emulated ;)

Edit: looks like Al beat me

I'll code it. I'm warm to BASIC and no stranger to hacking. It should be done in about a week. I'm off to Kinko's to have a planning meeting with my lead designer.

Zookeeper comes up often and I too would love to see it on the 2600. Actually, the 7800 could do a very good translation I bet. A pity it was never done or finished back in the day.

Kickman too. Guess I'll just continue to enjoy on the C64 though :)

A 7800 version would be pretty cool. :)

I'm surprised a proto or something has never surfaced. Maybe it didn't get past the drawing board?

According to Curt, it was finished for the 2600 back in the day. Hopefully a prototype will turn up...

Well, then I guess I'm after the 1982 Arcade Cabinet...?

Who has one of these for sale?

1998

According to this Larry Bank has a program for the Windows....can that be used if he shares?

So this guy suggests he has a playable emulation?

Has anyone ever heard of him?

Kickman! Loved that game as a younger kid at our arcade mecca....The local bowling alley. :D

That page is pretty old, the emulators there are outdated. If you want to play it via emulation, check out MAME.

Last post here..I think I understand perfectly clear now. Emulation roms are not program roms that can be used for conversion purposes....
I need to have the program reconfigured to almost written first to be produced on an eprom for an Atari cart...

Man I wish I had some experience with that, but I do not....

Thank you all for hopefuly understanding my stupid question of Zoo Keeper...I will just wish for the cart's rom to show up someday....

The thing is... screw a "prototype". From a gaming standpoint. I'm sure it would've been half-assed anyway. What I'd like to see is an expertly crafted version by a modern homebrewer. You know, by the likes of the guys that did Lady Bug, Thrust, Stratogems, etc. :)

This would be one cool game to see for the 7800. Unfortunately, someone would have to create it from scratch. Where's GroovyBee? ;)

Here!

Interesting play mechanics, but I have other things on the go at the moment.

Seconded! I'm a much bigger fan of Tempest than Zoo Keeper, although Zoo Keeper was a rather fun arcade game. :)

 Not really. I'm strongly suppressing the urge to do several other new projects on the 7800. I need to stay focused at the moment.

I like the game play in quite a few games. Bomberman for example :ponder: doesn't mean I'm going to do anything about it though .
