Have you cleaned your cart or port? The only other thing could be your screen ribbon has slipped a little out of it's socket or your LCD has a leak and is failing. Also, were you using it close to a microwave or other high RF/magnetic interference source? The lines do remind me of LCD panel failure, just haven't had it on a Lynx like that.I have had an LCD ribbon age crack through and fail though, could be your case too. :) :( If so,that's a $25+ problem for you,the last I knew. :(

Did you try to reseat your LCD ribbon to socket? If not,you loosen the tension clip on each side carefully to remove/install ribbon.Pull out/push in gently as a slight thump will be felt/heard each time.If not that,it is your LCD leaking probably. If you or a friend have a "Lynx Diagnostic Cart" you would know if there is a problem elsewhere too with Mikey or Suzy or etc. They are a neat item,I've had one since 1997. :) It does like 6 tests on a Lynx.If you need a LCD or cart,Brad has both.Let me know

Looks like a LCD ribbon cable issue to me. Removing and reseating the cable should probably help.

The only thing is,when I had my ribbon slip I had vertical white bands or a blank white screen. It's why I said a LDC might be of help too.The screen reminds of an LCD leak and failure also.It isn't a ribbon crack they say.

Gameboys used to do this a lot, but with vertical lines.
