the ladders, girders, and pauline are all the same color and look untouched from the original. its not so much a complaint, as an observation that this build of dk was based off the original (a game that is generally considered to be really poor) versus being built from scratch. actually, if this is as good as it looks to be, that is quite admirable. a longtime turd can indeed be polished and turned into somethinge else.

The updated version is written from scratch. The Coleco version does not have 4 screen. We need to remember how limited the Intellivision is.

Yes, the Coleco version could have / should have been better but I believe it is unfair to say it was intentional to make it crap.

If just one guy in his house can program a better version in his spare time Verses a real video game developer who had all the programming tools and equiptment back in the day.....and the homebrew looks 20 times better, you do the math!

just my opinion i guess......but my opinions are always right! :)

The updated version is 49k in size where Coleco's version is 8k. There were limits back in the day. Also, Coleco had to pump the game out the door as quick as possible. Take a look at a released homebrew, Space Patrol. It was in development for over 5 years!

Sweet masturbating monkeys, I want this game YESTERDAY!

Hang tight. I have made some progress to making this a reality. There is still MUCH to do though.
