pathetic - waste of time and materials. you should spend your time working on software rather than butcher classic (even if non functional) hardware.

Certainly a very nice piece of decoration :)
But I can't help but to feel sorry for all the games and the poor 2600 that had to be sacrificed :(

Nice work. Very snazzy, and as others have suggested, we need some classic 70's/80's music playing in the background when you turn it on (and off).. :cool:

Mr Cebus....An idea for the rev. 4 version of Atari lamp

Instead of having box art for the gfx, why not have actual screenshots of the ingame gfx...might make for a more interesting lamp

Hey, that thing looks faaaaaabulous! I might have to try my hand at something like that in the future.

Technical question ... is it top-heavy? The 2600 is a pretty light console, and I imagine the lamp and shade are pretty heavy.
