+Guitarman
I posted this in a thread in the 8bit area but it applies here. My brother works at a computer recycling facility here in town and I get called whenever they find Atari stuff. This is the latest find. +Guitarman
Refurb and sell, at some point. I just moved and all my test equipment is packed somewhere. I'm sure I'll keep the boxed stuff for my collection though, and the TT monitor completes my TT030 system.

AtariSociety
The TT030 to go with the TT195 monitor was found!!!!!! Picking it up tomorrow along with a 1040STe. The TT030 is in its box also!! Woohoo. Will post pics tomorrow evening. How awesome is that... I am starting to look to buy a TT030 and a TT195. You lucky dog! If you ever decide to sell the SM124 monitor you mentioned earlier, keep me in mind. I sent you a message on my interest. I am also looking for a external double sided floppy drive, a Megafile for my Mega 2, Atari Joystick. I just purchased the Mega so I don't even have a joystick yet. Have fun with your TT030. tj
+wood_jl
Awesome stuff! How do you do find stuff like this????? I live a long way from you, so I won't use your trade secrets in your town!!!! Can't wait to see the pics!
+Guitarman
1040STe, boxed in plastic, as new condition with extras. Badge plastic is still in place. The chip tubes have the old TOS chips in them. They're labeled TOS 1.2 Has 4 4mb simms installed. Don't know why because the system is only able to recognize 4mb total. I will be testing this one with one of my MegaFile 30 drives. The Grand Find!! TT030, boxed, plastic in box but not around the parts. They will go in the plastic when I repack it!! A little dusty but will clean up to almost new condition. Has 2mb ST ram and 4mb TT ram. Will have to get another 14mb TT board for this one and expand the ST ram. When I booted it and tried to enter the time and date, the keyboard was typing the wrong characters. I looked in the auto folder and found a dvorak keyboard program. Luckily, I found a qwerty program to remap the keyboard and disabled the auto start dvorak program. Here's a picture of the TT with its matching monitor from the Atari lot I got a few days ago, and a couple with it running on a 22" wide-screen flat-panel. I need to get the right cable for the TT195 monitor before I can test it. It has been a good couple of 'Atari' weeks around here!!!!! flashjazzcat
The 1040STE looks unusual with the dark function keys. Never seen that before.
miker
Looks like someone took them from some Falcon, no?
+Guitarman
I didn't even notice that. My other 1040STe's have the light colored F keys. But if you look at a Falcon, It is the main keys that are darker and the F keys match the case, which is a darker biege instead of gray. AtariSociety
So they look swapped between that Falcon and STE. I'll have to fish out one of my Falcons and compare Falcon has the same color F keys as case Hey tjlazer... I am having fun with the Mega 2 ST I just purchased from you last week. Right now she is on the kitchen table and I tinkered with the demo floppy for a bit. My wife was impressed. hehehe. Brought back find memories of when I had Ataris back in the day. Now I just need to find someone that will sell me a SM124 Mono Monitor, a joystick so I can play some games, and I need a nice Megafile hard drive too. <grin>. If you ever come across any of those for sale, let me know. I wish I was as luck as Guitarman with the recent Atari finds. I have never been that lucky before other than find my Eriba Puck camper a few years back that is hard to find in USA. 8-) Thanks for the floppies and all this last week. I will have lots of fun! tj
+Guitarman
Here are a couple of pics with the 'special' STe and a Falcon together. The second pic is a bit blurry as I wanted to take one without a flash to show the difference. As you can see, the STe F keys are darker than the F keys on the Falcon, so I don't think they are a replacement. It seems that maybe there was another version of the keyboard with darker F keys. +Guitarman
The second 'Great' find. Falcon030. $50.00. Will be picking it up Friday. The owner said it has an accelerator of some sort installed and a 14mb ram card installed. It has an issue with the HDD, he has to start it a few times before the drive will respond. Easy fix. He is also including all Atari related stuff he has including a couple of Supra drives, lots of music and sequencing software and hardware, a 1040STe and a couple of monitors. Pics coming this weekend.

+Guitarman
Just picked up.... 520ST w/1mb ram. This actually goes with the SF354 floppy I got in the last batch as it has the original owners name printed on the label of the floppy, power supplies and the 520ST. 1040STF No yellowing SC-1224 Color Monitor SM-147 Monochrome Monitor The is the Quadrant QC1438 14" flat face model with the pyramid looking back. Just powered up the 1040STf with my MegaFile30 and ran the system info utility. This little bad boy has 4mb ram in it!! Cracked it open and found a Marpet MP210A ram board in it with a full 4meg of ram. Also had TOS 1.4 (Rainbow). The 520ST also had an upgrade in it. It has a Aerco easieST solderless ram board in it. It has 1mb. Would like to find documents for this to fill the other bank.
Atari8guy
Thanks for posting that...I'm currently trying to install this exact mod into my 1040 (same mobo) and these pics really helped. I don't have the part that goes ontop of the MMU, instead I have instructions on where to attach the ribbon cable directly....so its a bit of work, but the pics helped a lot. Thanks
miker
OK, ignore my words about dark F1-F10 keys in Falcon. My F030 has them bright too.
+Guitarman
I picked up the Falcon030 on Friday, along with a 1040Stf, a SupraDrive, a Bernoulli drive, 3 monitors and a bunch of audio recording accessories for the Falcon. Like the 'Long Beach" 8 bit collection in my 3 saved collections link in my sig, the condition of this stuff is a crime!! Almost all of the hardware, disk cases, drives and boxes were covered in thick dust and bird poo. Maybe it's just my love for Atari but I don't see how anyone can treat their possessions like that. I will be taking pics tomorrow and will post in my new blog. Then it's to the dishwasher!!
+wood_jl
Guitarman: Thanks much for posting those pictures of the RAM upgrades. They're certainly "food for thought" on the subject.
