Nice! Thank you for the heads up.. I just went ahead and ordered a subscription.

I wonder how much the mag has changed? I haven't been a subscriber since before the GameCube was released..

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I don't guess I've even seen a NP mag in like 10 years. I used to love the thing (mindlessly self whoring aside, it was a good read) It was in the late 90's when i finely dumped it because it had simply gone to being almost exclusively a Pokemon magazine, it could have literally been changed to Pokemon monthly or something and I lost interest.

Be interesting to see where it is now.

The writing level is way up. Hah. Decent mag. I'd subscribe, but I need to have SOME motivation to leave the house voluntarily.

I bit, only thing that sucks is they don't mail you the first magazine until Mid July, possibly August. Oh well, for 5 bucks I can afford to wait :)

I was a subscriber from 1989 until the mag was outsourced (ca. 2008). It used to blow their minds when I would call up to renew my subscription. But, I had a bit of a hassle getting the mag renewed with the new publisher, and figured that maybe it was time to call it quits.

I used to love all the freebies in the January Bonus Issue though... that thing was like Christmas, Part II. :-D

Looks like the magazine is back to normal price.

I went a bit overboard and ordered quiet a bit. Got a PC gamer mag, OXM, PSM, Nintendo Power, and a couple others (science and Nateral geographic I think  ) Oops, now I just gotta figure out what to do with themwhen they come in, I probably can't read all 6 of them in a month....then again, the game mags I useually had read in 2 or 3 days back in the day.

Never understood the 6-8 weeks thing with magazines. (or anything else for that matterr) I mean, they got the custom printing for the lables, but that would take an individual all of 5 minutes to set up. Oh well, at least for magazines it seemst o have always been that way.

Well, I received my first Nintendo Power today! So, needless to say, the deal worked out fine..

I can't say I'm impressed with the mag, though. This thing is confusing as hell to read.. What happened to the cohesive nature of their old mags?

Ah well, can't be too critical, I guess.. This isn't 1993, and I did only pay $5 for the subscription.. That, and I only skimmed through ten pages or so.
