Gundemonium Collection - Trailer - PS3/PSN

This doujin [read: Indie] Bullet-hell collection will be shooting up PSN next week. Sony Online is offering a few ways to purchase this, one being it as a whole for $14.99. The other way is buying each game in the collection for $5.99.

I don't know about that one.

I'm not a 'nothing but shooters' fan, but I do enjoy my share of games in the genre and that one tickles none of my fancies.
It seems like it's poorly themed and low on action. At least 'low on action' as far as what a bullet-hell trailer should look like.
But the best part about shooters is that they are collectible, not just holding, but often rapidly gaining resale value.

On the other hand, my PSN downloads have been DECREASING in value. Last week I found out I couldn't redownload movies--they wiped my list out. PSN downloadables are less than worthless, they're a toilet to flush money into.

I really hate the 'collectible' aspect of shooters. It's only served to keep a great deal of incredible games out of most people's reach. I'm all for downloads, however, this collection isn't tempting me. Seems a bit expensive for doujin games.

I just want to be able to download DoDonPachi, ESPdaré and Radiant Silvergun.

I'm downloading them now. Even if I don't care for them I'd like to encourage Sony to release more of these.

Guess I'd never played a Japanese style shmup before. They're definitely weird. Once I figured out how small my collision model was the games became a lot easier. It's got 2 side scrollers and one vertical game. One of them actually has a tetris bonus level.

Shmup fans on the PS3 should also check out Soldner-X 2 :)

wondering if one of the 3 games is better than the other two? I want to know which one to try first.
