Forgive my ignorance. I have only played the PS3 Socom multiplayer game (confrontation?). Anywho, it was fun, controlled well, but I just am not into multiplayer FPS at all.

Socom 4 looks great, and I actually liked the demonstration quite a bit. I actually really liked the look of the city and the lighting, and the gameplay looked very fun. But I'm wondering, is this multiplayer only as well? It seems mission driven, so I'm assuming there is a single player mode, right?

Anywho, thanks guys.

there's a single player campaign. i'm afraid of socom online anyway, those guys have a reputation for taking it a tad too seriously.

You think Socom players are a serious bunch, try MAG sometime. Even in "training mode" Suppression, they will kick you out of the game or continually TK you if you don't play like *they* think you should.

And check out the official forums as they can debate ballistics and tier group variations for page after page after page after page...... a lot of these dudes are serious.
