Hi there!

Please don't shoot the messenger. But I don't see any interesting Wii game coming to Europe the next three months besides Metroid Other M...

  • Gormiti: The Lords of Nature!
  • Spider-Man: Dimensions
  • Batman - The brave and the bold
  • Lord Of The Rings: Aragorn's Quest
  • Lego Harry Potter
  • Metroid Other M

Greetings,
Manuel

As a surprise hit, I just added Lego Harry Potter to my shopping list.

Also, I just saw "The Lord Of The Rings: Aragorn's Quest" advertized for late september, so I upgraded my "list" to a Top 3 ;)

New Carnival Games appears promising. The first had some good ideas and some fun minigames. If this one solves many of the problems that plagued the first game, it should be a decent multiplayer minigame collection.

That and Metroid: Other M are it for retail Wii releases that look interesting to me until the end of October.

With some more good will I also added Bat- and Spiderman to the list. Web of Shadows wasn't all bad on the Wii and Batman is from WayForward I think, so maybe they're good.

Does anyone think "Gormiti: The Lords of Nature!" might become a good game?

It's from Climax, who already did the Wiis Silent Hill and Overlord games.

I added it to the list, just in case :)

I haven't played Silent Hill yet, but Overlord was a big disappointment for me.

I'm an Overlord fan, having played #1 & #2 on the PS3. I bought the Wii version of Overlord and while the game had some good things going for it, the way the game ended completely spoiled any good feelings I had: they TOLD the end of the story in text rather than have you play the ending. I mean, you were set up to battle your sister for final and ultimate victory, and the developers instead told you that you beat your sister and won the game. Maybe there were time constraints on shipping the game or something, but I was left totally cold with the way the game ended.

While I didn't answer your question, I had to comment if you are basing the potential of a game on Overlord.

I actually hope I find some time to play Overlord this weekend, so I can see if I will agree with you soon. I did play Silent Hill already though and that was pretty good :)

Silent Hill is on my play list, but when I'll get to it I have no idea. Sigh.... I presently have about 15 Wii games to check out plus there are all the upcoming ones (Donkey Kong, GoldenEye, Metroid, Mickey, etc etc etc) I want.

Too many games, not enough time :)

Like I said, Overlord can be very fun and very funny at times and I'll be interested in your reaction to the game.

Sin and Punishment is such a great game, I have to recommend it.

Lord of the Rings clip
(featuring co-op play!)

The following future releases I will keep an eye on:
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Donkey Kong Country Returns
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Gormiti is based off a tv show so I probably will ingore it. :ponder:

IGN clearly prefers Spiderman (7.5) over Batman (6.5) :)
