http://www.atariage....dley/index.htmlThe Bradley Trainer was a modification to Atari's Battlezone arcade game created for the US Army to help train personel in the use of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Supposedly only two of these machines were built, and of the two only one of them is known to exist today. The latest version of the arcade enumator MAME (0.62) has support for the Bradley Trainer, which hasn't been emulated until now. Pictures and more information of the Atari Bradley Trainer be found on this site, and screenshots of it running in MAME can be found here.

Well Chris Tumber will have a new standard as he continues to program a Battlezone clone for the Vectrex!

Actually there are a couple of prototypes of the Bradley controller, I will see if I can take one on loan and have it on display at Phillyclassic this coming Spring...

Just want it noted that this MAME conversion could not have been possible without the contribution of a former Atari employee who supplied the Source Code to the original game and wishes to remain anonymous.

Can I do a ROM swap and play this on my machine? I wonder if it uses the original hardware to run?.

Curt, that would be great if you could get the real one for the show. :)

Back when the VIDEOTOPIA museum exhibit was traveling around
the country its website mentioned that The Electronics Conservancy
has secured one of the Battlezone/Bradley Trainers and said it would
be displayed in VIDEOTOPIA in the future.

Does anyone know what happened to that machine and The Electronics
Conservancy?

Was it the same machine that is on the safestuff sight
or was it the other of the two machines that were built?

It's not that simple.

In order to convert a Battlezone, you would have to add a Star Wars controller with two independent sets of triggers on the front side, a buttload of wire jumpers, an I/O board with a D/A converter, a ROM daughter card, 11 buttons, 3 pots, two pedals, and a bunch of cabinet wiring. The wirewrap board has a zillion traces that go to the AVG board. The Mathbox proms, seems to be stock and have production part numbers on them.
