They have the same DB9 profile as a Colecovision, so question is will they work fine with a CV? They have the numeric keypad and all.

No, their not DB9s they are DB15s. ;) However, you could use the DB9 adaptor for the Jag controllers for A8s that Best Electronics has. Once you get it connected, IDK, if any rewiring for CV would be necessary tho?

I tried this Sega Fighter Stick on the CV, and it froze the whole system. Anyone else tried it with a different button configuration that made it work?

DoubleDown did a couple of Jaguar Controller Mods, one with two firebuttons and one with four firebuttons (aka Super Action Controller without spinner). Here are the pics:

I could put a CV controller board in that controller and get it working on the CV. If your interested send me a PM.

Think he still helps out laying out/producing manuals for some of the Homebrew releases... other than that, I can't say for sure.

It wouldn't be that hard to figure out, but you would have to kill a Jag and a Coleco controller to do. The parts are not as easy to get a hold of as other common stuff, like NES, or Sega.

This guy came up with an adapter that converts the Jag pad's output to 5200, Intellivison, and ColecoVision:

http://www94.pair.co...ag_adapter.html

Basically, you just need to build the decoder, then build whichever of the three encoders suits your needs. :)

It's a nifty idea because no controller modification is necessary.

I was wanting to build one of these for my 5200, but now I'm actually considering trying to put an analog thumb stick in a Jag pad to use with my 5200.

Sorry, it's just I've posted a link to that page in various Atari Age topics several times, and it always gets completely ignored. It's like no one even wants to consider using a Jag pad, or no one wants to consider building an adapter that doesn't require modification of the controller.

That said, in some applications, modding the controller might be easier than building this adapter, but I don't think Lab Rat's work should just be dismissed when it is absolutely functional.

It's not bad at all. Honestly my brain went right to the overlays. It wouldn't be that hard to have an entire run of overlays made in the right size. Anything is better than the stock coleco controller. I WANT it to be a viable choice, and the fact that you don't kill anything is a MAJOR +1. This is awesome.

The schematics for the ColecoVision controller are out there. I thought most of the diodes were shown backwards, but that's easy to confirm.
