I love almost all Atari coin-ops but my favorites would be Tempest, Xevious, Space Duel, Red Baron, and Black Widow.

Indiana Jones is basically my Holy Grail, I have still never seen one for sale in MN. I almost paid about $400 extra to ship one to my house but decided to wait and find one locally. That was years ago, I still do not have one, grrrrrr :x

I think they were pretty much all winners. I too really like the vector games but I also have a soft spot for the System 1 games, particularly Peter Pack Rat and Marble Madness. I loved the sounds on those games as well as the graphic resolution.

I must agree that most of them were winners in my book. When I think arcade I think Atari!! Being a late 1970's and early to mid 1980's arcade goer I too liked most of the vector games. My all time favorite has to be Star Wars. I just lovde that game, still do. Others that jump to mind as ones that I dropped most of my quarters on are:

Lunar Lander
Red Baron
Tempest
Asteroids
Tank
Gauntlet

Umm ok...my faves are:

7 - Stun Runner
6 - Xevious
5 - Gauntlet
4 - Tempest (I will always play this first when available - it's an arcade-only exeprience)
3 - Marble Madness (I actually enjoyed the NES version more than the arcade)
2 - Star Wars (one of the few on the list I actually find anymore; the only real reason I ever break out my 32x and it's clusterf*** of cords)

1 - Crystal Castles - many hours on a cocktail version of this at a cheap-ass pizza place of which I forget the name; as much as people praise the 2600 version, I could never get into it)

I also remember a great tank game where you played with two control yokes for real tank action...can't remeber the name, but seems like it was by Atari. What was it???? Morgan

Well, that certainly fits the description, but no. I did some searching; it is Assault. It was made by Namco, but maybe distributed by atari here (Atari logo is on header glass) Morgan

APB!

Toobin'!

and I just acquired....

XBYBOTS! :D

my overall favorite two cabs though have to be APB and Marble Madness. Marble Madness has the best music of any arcade game I've ever played, and APB is not only an incredibly good game but it's also hilarious!

I think my favorite four are:

STUN Runner
Star Wars
Stunt Cycle
Fire Truck

Honorable Mention:
Asteroids

I think the reason that I picked these ones is that I have a lot of good childhood memories with these games. There are later ones that were good too, but I will always have a special place for the four I chose.

Hmmm... big lot to choose from, but here are a few I feel are pretty high up on my list of "Games I MUST own one day" (two of these are already acquired, thankfully :) ).

Asteroids
Centipede (*check*)
Missile Command
Tempest
Pole Position II (in PP1 cockpit: *check*)
Space Duel
Star Wars (cockpit please :P )

Honorable mentions include:

Dig Dug
Xevious
Black Widow
Asteroids Deluxe
Gravitar
Battlezone
Millipede
S.T.U.N. Runner

Plus, I'm sure I'm missing some...

A lot of Animan's choices were non-Atari. I guess he's not a reader.

I like:

Xevious (just got the coin-op for my birthday)
Vindicators
Xybots
Toobin (this is what Chuck D. Head was thinking of above)
Star Wars TAG
Marble Madness
Paperboy

I used to love Dig Dug & S.T.U.N. Runner. Mr. DO! does the digging thing better for me now.
