Before you groan and say "not another classic gaming mag," try to be open to what I may have to offer.

I would like to pose an "interest check" for both readers and contributers for a "diehard" classic gaming mag. When I say "diehard" classic gaming I'm referring to the Golden Age from "Tennis for Two" to the e.g. 7800/NES era: devoted to the roots of classic gaming which is arcade coin-op and the consoles that coexisted at that time.

I believe there is a lot going on between tournaments, expos and the home brew scene that would provide sufficient content for a quarterly publication.

I do not want to be too specific. But, think of it as a magazine that picks up where Electronic Games mag left off as you remembered EG BITD.

Post your comments here and we'll see what happens...if you would be interested as a reader or contributer or if you think it's a bad idea and why...

Thx

I'd definitely be interested in getting in on this. I've always wanted CGQ to be a magazine, but I don't have the time or money to do it alone. We should talk, assuming that you would be interested in working with me.

Count me as definitely interested in seeing something like this come to realization.

I think a well-written classic gaming magazine covering the 70s and 80s would be fun to read and worth subscribing to.

Is the coverage based on everything up to a given "generation," a given date (pre-1990), or by gameplay/presentation (pre-3D)?

Roughly up mid to late 80s but definitely pre-90s.

Thx for the input

I'd be interested in buying it for sure, and possibly writing for it as well.
