Just picked up a nice Columbia Home Arcade set. All the parts say Columbia Home Arcade, and it did include a manual for hooking up the RFU to the TV, but not the original manual. I've got the controller pigtail in a parts box in storage. Other than the manual and pigtail what am I missing? What did Columbia ship these in? Did they have a retail box?

No idea what would constitute "complete", but that is one nice looking piece of hardware!

Its a repackaged gemini no? I've seen them here in Canada where, I think, they're a little more common. As for completeness I'm not sure the ones sold through columbia house came in an actual box other than a generic shipping box but I'm not 100% on that. Yours looks pretty complete and very nice AX

Page 8 of the Home Arcade owners manual shows there was a 'Y" cable packed-in with the Home Arcade. Was that what you meant by pigtail? Other than the Y cable and owners manual yours is complete and all original as far as I know. Hard to find the correct switchbox and power supply, it is.

I've never seen a retail box, or any Home Arcade system box for that matter. Curious how they were packaged for shipment or whether or not (probably not) a retail box exists.

The consoles I've seen have all been very low serial numbers, like less than 10,000. What's your system's S/N? We have one which is S/N 0001066.

Yep, I meant the Y cable. Have had that in a parts box for years not knowing where it was supposed to go. The small manual mine came with just illustrates the hookup of the RFU box. I'd love to get that -real- manual from your set :D The serial is #8243 on mine. I always heard rumors it was 5,000 or less, but it would seem mine proves it was more like 10,000 like you said. It's up there with my Sears II and Irish 2600 for favorite iteration of a 2600.
