Hi there!

Well, let's face it, the thing is dead. This christmas I'm getting a PS3, so except from maybe Zelda and some surprise first party titles in 2011, this is the pool for my personal Wii final:

  • 007: GoldenEye
  • A Shadow's Tale
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Ivy The Kiwi
  • Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes
  • Sid Meier's: Pirates!
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
  • Epic Mickey
  • Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2
  • Tron Evolution

(I already pre-ordered Pirates! in july :lolblue:)

I'm definitely getting Epic Mickey and DKC Returns. I was also looking forward to Goldeneye and Conduit 2, but I've lost my enthusiasm after seeing the more recent previews along with Nintendo's threat to shut out Homebrew Channel users from online games. Most of the fan reviews I've read say Other M is a disappointment as well. As things stand now, I can only see myself getting 2-3 Wii titles for the whole of 2010-2011.

On the positive side, we'll be getting Muramasa HD on the PS3/360 in the spring. There's also talk of Capcom porting Okami in HD for the Move next summer.

Catching up on Capcom once I have a PS3 should be easy, since I think I'll only need to get RE5 of their releases so far :lolblue:

But the trailers for DmC and Asura's Wrath look promsing ;)

You're not interested in Kirby's Epic Yarn? I was indifferent at first but the videos look pretty awesome.

Not the slightest bit. It's the ugliest Wii game since MadWorld, only aimed at the opposite spectrum of the audience this time :P :lolblue:

The good news is that I probably didn't burn my money with my blind preorder of Pirates!: I hear Nintendo Power gave it an 8.5 for the start ;)

Following a host of glowing reviews for KEY, have you reconsidered? And while I'm here, Pirates! reviews have been heading the other direction...65% from GameRankings.com. Have you played Pirates! yet; any thoughts?

I noticed these reviews and indeed had another look at the game, but it's really nothing at all for me I think. My moneys much more likely to go into the direction of DKCR :)

We've still 2-3 more levels to play of the 4th year of LEGO Harry Potter, so it's still shrinkwrapped. It's probably a really rushed job, but then again it shipped for 20 Euro at launch. It's probably also no total loss as some reviews suggest, e.g. when in the 35% gamezone review I read stuff like the following I just think that they should've assigned someone else than some clueless hyperactive kill-o-zap teenager to write it:

I had never played Sid Meier’s Pirates! before, but the kind words about the PC version had me hoping for the best.

At first glance, it’s noticeable that the graphics have deteriorated on the Nintendo Wii. Seriously, what generation is this? It looks similar to what I could find on the PSOne[...]

Even the way the game punishes you every time you divide up your earnings with your crew to keep them from mutiny is heavily flawed. As you split the booty, you lose all of the ships you have spent so much money and time upgrading. Traveling around the map is another huge issue: It takes forever to get anywhere.
