So this is really just a glorified version of Super Mario All-Stars? They could have made this really special by including Super Mario Land and also Super Mario Land 2 - Six Golden Coins, at the very least. As it's presented now, only Mario fanatics and collectors will bother.

I'm kind of tempted for the Audio CD, but yeah... I agree with Pixelboy. SMAS is almost 20 years old. If I were going to get a Wii version, it would have to be pretty comprehensive. I'd want at least every Mario game up through the N64 era. Yes, such a compilation would probably cost $99, but at least it would be worth it.

Pretty box, but I think I'll pass.

I'll buy it. The boxed extras would be nice to have a peek at, plus being able to play Super Mario All-Stars on another console is nice.

Still, I do share the opinions of others here. Nintendo should have added more games to the collection. It's a total disgrace to the Mario legacy by not properly re-creating what Nintendo did with Super Mario All-Stars to begin with. Nintendo updated 4 Mario games with a Super Nintendo make-over. That should be done again today, by taking adding a few more Mario games and updating the graphics and sound on all of them. If it costs a lot of money to produce, just add a bunch of box set typical items to justify raising the price to $69.99 or something.

And they already released this one before!

The box art looks like the Mario Anniversary stuff that Nintendo Power did, and the games as listed don't give me any real interest in getting this -- and I adore the Mario platformers, and generally buy every incarnation of them. But, without even minor updates like what they did to Super Mario Brothers on the Game Boy (at least, nothing that is mentioned) this is about the lamest compilation that I have ever seen.

My money will go to the Donkey Kong Country reboot instead :)

I wouldn't mind getting it, heh, those are the best of the Mario's after all. Like said above though, they shoud have included something else, the DMG games, up to the 64...something.

Just my opinion but after Nintendo recently announced that Europe is getting the Anniversary Red Mario Wii and DSi bundles along with the Anniversary game, I believe that they will announce that North America will be getting all of them also. I bet the announcement will take place about the same time that the Nintendo World Store has its grand re-opening on Nov. 7th.

Big remodeling project going on. Closed this past Monday, I believe, and will reopen on Nov. 1st with a big grand reopening party scheduled for Nov. 7th.
