That Jitter all over the place... LOL!! Yep, undestand that.

Anyway in my case I have a 48K Atari 400 with paddles.

LOL, I said I was asking for trouble ;) Hopefully you ticked the 800 48K with box! I put a thread on repairing paddles on the main forum a while back; but since have noticed the same paddles are fine on the old 800 and still jittery on the 130XE (but they still work) so don't know if that's a harware fault on the XE or something else - can anyone test this theory out :?:

p.s. What, no trak-ball sloopy? ;)

I can attest to the fact jittery paddles are REALLY jittery on a 130XE and almost steady on an 800... I even replaced the pots and get jitters on the XE and rock steady on the 800...

And if we are going to play this pissing match I have...

NTSC - 400, 400 32k, 400 32k, 800 48k, 1200XL (800XLified), 1200XL, 600Xl 64k, 600xl 64k, 800XL 512k, 800xl 1MB, 800xl, 800xl, 800xl, 800xl, 800xl, 800xl, 65xe, 130xe 320k, 130xe 320k, 130xe 320k, 130xe, 130xe, XEGS, XEGS...

PAL - 800xl 320k, 800xl, 800xl...

and 3 sets of paddles Posted Image

I have an Atari 600 XL and a pair of paddles from my VCS. I am happy with my "little" 16 K machine, and I don't plan to upgrade it to 64 K.
I use the XL only as a cartridge game machine.
I suggest Pole Position or Donkey Kong /DK Jr. for one of the next HSC games...

Whoever hasn't got any paddles there's a load on ebay at the moment, various prices just search for "atari paddle"... am probably adding a paddles option to the vote for the November bonus round so here's a heads up ;)

I've got atari and commodore paddles, expanded 600xl, 800xl, 65xe.
I've had no such paddle troubles on my 65xe. Maybe the 130's think too much. :ponder:

I have an Atari 800 but some keys don't work but paddles work. I have a 600XL but it's 16K and maybe sending it for upgrade.

I said in the poll that I had paddles, and I have two gemstik 3rd party joysticks that work OK (I took them apart and made a good one and a better one). I should have an XL soon too once sloopy finishes the VBXE run and sends me my 600xl. I did some IC broker services for him and he promised to send a 600xl + VBXE as payment.
