Paddles and the 130XE

Discussing Paddles in the HSC two of us (1 PAL, 1 NTSC) reckon that paddles that are pretty much steady on the Atari 800 are very jittery on the 130XE. Anyone know why Is there a fix for this

I do know they put more capacitors unnecessarily on the later XL/XE models so perhaps they are failing and causing the jitters.

I can say It's the same on my 65xe as well
