I know very little about programming, especially Atari boards, so I wanted to turn to you folks (the experts) for the tough questions. I have a few dozen "E.T." 2600 cartridges that, if possible, I'd like to modify internally. When you pop the game into the console and turn it on, instead of being able to play the game, you are greeted with a full-screen static image with a sound 'clip' playing in the background on loop. Ideally that's all I'd like the game to do, nothing else.
Is this possible, and how hard would it be? If so, would anyone be willing to work with me? What kind of work would it involve (parts, welding, etc.)? I will be glad to provide payment for your services if the price is reasonable.
Thank you all for your time.
