This is a truly classic throw back kind of game. I got it last night mainly for my kid to play but it's loads of fun. Co-op is a blast to play just like New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Anyone playing it? It's got a little bit of paper mario inlfuence in there. Truly an instant classic.

Does it have any annoying boss fights in the middle of levels (like in Kirby's Adventure for the NES?)

I know what you mean but I havent gotten to a boss yet. Its really easy to play though so I dont expect any frustration at all.

One fire button jumps and the other shoots out a piece of yarn aka Castlevania whip. Thats it! You can jump and hit the jump button again to float
around, tap left left or right right to change to a car and "run". You can also whip a lot of things to change the landscape like Paper Mario.
The usual baddies you can jump/push down and stomp on there head. You can also "enter" things like castles and trees and move around inside like Paper Mario. You also collect hidden items throughout the levels to deck out your own house (like Animal Crossing). The co-op player also has his own home to decorate. You can make new designs and stuff as well. During play you can grab your partner and fling him around and interact\team up to accomplish things.

I can go on and on....its a very good Nintendo game and you can see the quality. The graphics in real life when you see the game in front of you are great. Screenshots and videos do it no justice. Almost too cute and the music and effects top notch. The music is really really nice and relaxing classical piano. I need to find the soundtrack.

Really, really well done. Thank you Nintendo!

Suuure :ponder:

I was strongly considering getting this game myself. I was thrown off a bit by the whole yarn thing, but after watching a few game play videos and hear nothing but good stuff about it, I might have to go grab up a copy.

Ive noticed my Wii library doubles my 360 library :|

I've been looking for some things that any non gamer can play so my kid was my first thought about this game. Then it turns out to be one of my top 5 Wii games of all time to my surprise.

I've been reading that most people think its a kids game and are avoiding it. What a loss, its something I think should be in everyones Wii library, especially if you like platformers.

I'm going to have to pick it up then. It has been a good year for the Wii, with New Super Mario Bros. Wii released early in the year, now a Kirby game, in couple more weeks we'll have Donkey Kong Country Returns, and before the years end, Sonic Colors and GoldenEye 007!?

Wonder if we'll see a good Megaman iteration before the Wii's end.

Oh yeah, Galaxy 2, new SMB and I even thought Metroid Other M was really good. I think its been a fantastic year. Kirby and DKC Returns is just icing on the cake!

I've been waiting for a return of Megaman on Nintendo for ages. I seriously hope we see something someday. I have the Megaman collection on gamecube and I liked the X series, it would be cool to see e a Wii exclusive title.

I saw a commercial for this game, and it looks pretty cool IMO. I may hve to see about picking it up, after beating NSMB, I haven't really played the Wii at all.

awesome, as soon as i opened this thread, a kirby song came up on 8-bit radio (from nesguide.com)

i want this game, but i promised myself i'd buy Madden first since Brees made the cover. no, i'm not gonna play it, i'm just from new orleans.

as for the good Megaman iteration... they gave us two 8-bit sequels. can't get better than that. unless they make X9 on wiiware...

so kirby, yeah... i remember when the original b&w gameboy version came out. i played the hell out of it. the NES game (and gba remake) were quite fun. i'm sure one day i'll pick up Epic Yarn.

Been playing this since Saturday. My 7-year-old, the wife and I are addicted.
