RUINER PINBALL

4.jpg 5.jpg 6.jpg
7.jpg 8.jpg 9.jpg

It's that time of the year.. Time for horror movies, haunted houses and scary vibes...
What better way to see out the last week of October with something equally fitting:

RUINER PINBALL!

This round will end on Sunday, October 31st.. HALLOWEEN!

SPECIAL ROUND RULES AND DIRECTIONS:

PRIMARY COMPETITION:

Play a game on the TOWER table. Set the options to 5 BALLS and the difficulty to FACTORY. Any other options can be set according to your own preferences, as they do not affect gameplay. Submit a score when done (and as many times as needed!). This portion will be scored in the standard 11+ point structure that we go by for normal rounds.

SECONDARY/BONUS OPTION:

Play a game on the RUINER table. Keep the difficulty/ball settings as described above. Submit a score, any score.. This portion is completely optional and will net you 7 participation points regardless! ANYONE who submits a score for the Ruiner table will receive the flat 7 POINTS, and the rankings for it will only be listed as to see who has the highest score.

EXTRA BONUS PARTICIPATION POINT OPTIONS:

Submit any kind of game tips (for either table) below! Each tip submitted will net you one extra participation point. If you know any tricks, traps, tactics, whatever.. Be sure to post them below (Let's see if we can make Ruiner pros out of everyone here)..

If you are not familiar with the new Jaguar HSC general rules and how the scoring system works, please visit this thread here: http://www.atariage....pdated-7242010/. It is recommended that you take a photo of your score, but it is not required. We go on good faith here, so please be honest.. :)

Tips submitted:

- With a Pro Controller, you can nudge left and right with the shoulder buttons (Seems to make it easier). [Orpheuswaking]

- If you time it just right you can use the tilt feature to knock a ball onto the flipper and back into play when it goes down the side chutes. You have to hit the button just as the ball is about to go down the middle. [The_Laird]

High scores for PRIMARY Ruiner Pinball round (TOWER table):

1. Boog - 301,185,530
2. Major Havoc 2049 - 249,669,390

5. The_Laird - 110,020,190
6. Orpheuswaking - 92,351,970

First score... 26,163,960 (This is nothing, Ruiner uses huge scores, so don't be intimidated,).

Be quick if you plan on writing down your score, btw, it disappears quickly. And if you want to see it again, you have to reset the game and wait for the game to go to the Tower score table (Takes a couple of minutes before that happens).

Please add me to the Jaguar HSC madness! This game is a lot more pixelated than I remember. :-p

Tower: 127,088,866 It's the Havoc ATR Age score. The rest were set with 7 balls...way back in the mid 90's.

Ruiner: 135,611,890 Couldn't make the High Score table.

Tower - 92,351,970

Ruiner - 61,496,070

Tip - If you want to use the nudge table feature without tangling up your thumbs, use a pro controller ;-)

Here we go!

Ehhhhhhhhh... Posted Image

I always lose control of the flippers while trying to nudge the table, sometimes a poorly timed nudge sends the ball right back at the flippers and I end up hitting the wrong button.

With a procontroller you can nudge left and right with the shoulder buttons, makes it easier. (although center nudge is still button 2)

You didn't specify which ones you made for this round so I used the Kieren scores.

Anyways, I changed the scores to your Kizza ones.. Albeit now your Ruiner score is looking pretty bad. :rolling:

I will change it back, but in the future, make sure you specify which name and score you are submitting, especially when your photos show scores with two names I know you go by.

*edit: I also realize that I also initially put your scores on the wrong tables, so those have been corrected as well.

Another round of Tower tonight: 301,185,530
And a quick play of Ruiner: 62,294,510

EDIT: Held off on taking a picture because I was hoping to get time for one more game this weekend... didn't get back to it though.
(the 12 mil was a quick round this morning just to get the high score table to show up)

Um, not obviously. Plenty of people here submit scores without hitting the top of their own scoreboard.. And you made it even more confusing by using two different names on each. Double :dunce:,

I attempted to play again, admittedly around 5:30AM, but I was too drunk for it to make a difference. Bummer. I feel stupid for not even submitting a score for the Ruiner table.. free points down the drain! ha.
