Thanksgiving Manufacturer's Challenge: Atari

This will be a 10 game tournament consisting of the seasonal title Turkey Shoot and 9 titles by Atari.

Nominate a list of 10 Atari titles.

Games will be added to the tournament based on the total number of nominations beginning highest to lowest.

Nomination tiebreakers:

  1.
  2. If a game has not been played previously in the history of the AtariAge Arcade/MAME HSC, that game will be chosen.
  3. If there are multiple titles that have been played previously in the history of the AtariAge Arcade/MAME HSC, then the most recently played title will be rolled over to the Holiday Season Tournament.

Games that have multiple nominations that do not make the cut in the Thanksgiving Tournament will be added to the Holiday Season Tournament in December.

If nine Atari games have not been selected by Wednesday, November 17, the players will select one game from their list of nominations in the following order:

  •
  • HSC Season 2 Champion (roadrunner)

If crystal castles is selected, can the joystick version be use?

Is it a different ROM set or are you asking if you can map controls to a joystick?

it's a clone of the version 4 rom.

The rom name is ccastlesj

I think it just easier to map the joystick to move the bear.

KLAX

Tetris

Paperboy

Peter Packrat

Championship Sprint

Gauntlet

Road Runner

Food Fight

A.P.B.

Pole Position

I tried playing the Joystick version of Crystal Castles, it looks like there is not way of changing the speed of the bear, so this make it very difficult to play. If I had a trackball I would I put this game in and Marble madness and probably Missile command. Also, If I had a spinner I would have put breakout.

Atari have so many good games it difficult to select only 10.

I think that Time Pilote is from Centuri/Konami

The Atari ROMset was selected...

Cool, one of my favorite game. If there's a tie breaker I will defenitly vote for it.

Also getting ready for Tetris.

I have to change the Cap kit on this one, I will try that tomorrow ... Never done this before.

Also, a future HSC member playing Crystal Castles ... She got to the 3rd screen, not bad for someone who just celebrated her 6 birthday!

If she get's an account on AA (like my son did) let Albert know because of the two separate ID's coming from the same IP address.

Also, I got a Centipede cabinet last Sunday but I don't think it will be ready by the end of the tournament.

I am going to get my butt handed to me in this tourney...
