I've seen Tempest 2000 soundtracks but nothing on Club Drive. Not only do I love the gameplay but the music is genuinely funky!

Anyone have any clues how to obtain such a soundtrack? Not really in the mood to hook the Jag to a line-in on my PC and use Audacity.

Yeh just stroll over to Jagu-Sounds and .... WHAT!?! No Club Drive there?

Say it isn't so!!!

Well, I checked over the Club Drive Source on Jaguar Sector 2 and didn't find any obvious .mod files.

Guess this will have to be one where you hook up to the Jaguar and capture some game music to make into mp3's that way.

Thanks for the leads guys! I appreciate the help.

The controls took some getting used to but the game rocks! Love the tropical, funky tunes. I could swear the tracks changed subtly over time.. but, I could just be huffing too much glue again. Secret areas, collect the balls.. just fun, replayable goodness!

Sadly, once Re-volt came out I had no excuse to revisit Club Drive.

It was fun driving into the orange box - err, I mean cat. The game had potential.

The rom-image has atleast no M.K. in there so I guess it's not in .MOD-format. Any rippers out there?

The music is in the source code that was released, just not in .mod format. Its in jaguar synth format from what i can tell.

The samples are there as is the score. i cant imagine throwing it into a midi program would be too hard and it might work out...jag synth isnt something that is used on homebrew games today as most use mod files.

I meant hooking up the Jag to a computer and recording it as-is through an audio program, but sure, that could work too..

Well if it's in jaguar synth we still need a way to replay it or to convert it to a playable format.

Agreed

From what i understand jaguar synth is just Midi but instead of the samples and score being all encompased in one file (like a midi file) they're split. Read into the jag developer manual or the jag synth documentation a little. It might explain it a little more and give you an idea of whats needed to make a midi file out of the info there. I do know there is a jag synth program that you can UPLOAD to the jaguar to feed the samples and score into via the midi board with an alpine setup but not quite sure if you can export the file back out to midi format via the parallel port on the alpine. I dont see why it couldnt be done... Again im not familiar with the way the program works or jag synth very much so im afraid i wouldnt be of too much help on it.

Maybe if i get some free time ill take a stab at it and look into the soundtrack and see what i can find out.

Is the music actually worth all this trouble? I mean, it's Club Drive we're talking about...

Unless you are dying to use samples from it, or do some sort of remix for your music- I wouldn't be too worried about nabbing it.

I recorded the all the music years ago. The trick is finding a file host for this sort of thing that won't immediately yank it because they think you're sharing pirated music.

Sending it to a place like MegaUpload should be fine as long as the files are in a zip file.
