Man a chopper in the nation's top action adventure. Pockets of international hostages are trapped. All across the world. In the Middle East. In the South Seas. And in a secret base somewhere in a cavern. You man a helicopter rescue team. And your job is to take your helicopter down, rescue the hostages and fly them back to safety. All the while dodging and destroying dangerous enemy fire. An action-packed helicopter game at its best!

Deadline for high scores is November 25, 2010.

Side Challenge: Complete a stage without letting any hostages die.

I have been playing alot of Choplifter over the last few months.
It's a shame Atari never made Choplifter for the 2600.

I have been playing alot of Choplifter over the last few months.
It's a shame Atari never made Choplifter for the 2600.
While I'm not a huge fan of this title, the SMS version is probably the best port. I'd give a 2nd place to the C64. A8(5200?) plays just as good as 64 but graphically inferior, with VIC-20 bringing up the rear.

While it doesn't look the best i like the 7800 version. I have no problem saving at least 60 hostages in that version. :)

Well, this is just shameful. My brother went and got 90,700 on his first try, having never played this game before.
