The initial install size of Gran Turismo 5 on your PS3 HDD is going to be 6.4 GB. He also revealed that it takes about 40 minutes to install.
However, interestingly, he says that the game will continue to install and decompress data throughout the course of your playtime and the actual disk space taken by the game on your PS3 will be a lot more.

That's kind of a backwards way to get news. It's going to be slow going if you don't go to the source.
He keeps updating the first post of (this thread) with new info as he encounters it.

I got GT5 and choose not to do the install, I still remember waiting 10 minutes for a game to load on Atari 130XE from tape.
One minute is not that much.
