Most of the time Amazon ships to me via UPS but I've had packages come from them via the PO also. And if memory serves, most items shipped via PO have been a single video game or DVD order.

I hope that Amazon shipped your game via UPS or FedEx since the post office is closed tomorrow, Friday, for Veterans Day.

Yep UPS, and it says it shipped from the town I live in. And I bet UPS will still manage to screw me on shipment...

"Preparing for a new Elder Scrolls game is like preparing to die. One must ensure they get all their worldly affairs in order, speak with the people who mean everything to them, and have a final meal.
After all, once that disc goes in, the user may as well have departed from our mortal world. "

Well I picked up the collector's edition from GameStop. I was going to post pictures of the unboxing but the time it was taking was getting a little ridiculous. I do have a picture of the line I stood in though.

The people at the front stood there for over 2 hours. I got there about 15 minutes before release. They got their game about 10 minutes before me.

It's awesome. The videos didn't do it justice. If you are playing through the introduction and find yourself disappointed you are a nut. You do have to be open to TES merging in many elements of Fallout because they borrowed a ton.

Here is a link to my unboxing photos on Facebook: http://www.facebook....=1&l=d7a6693107

I'll probably wait for the GotY edition. I sort of liked Oblivion but found it annoying at times, so Skyrim isn't all that high on my list. Besides, I've got a giant backlog of games to get to as is.

Same here most likely. I'm still trying to finish several games, and even if I got it now, I won't get played anytime soon.

Have to work today and work late, and I ahev errends I have to run in town anyway, so...I'll go tommorow to get the game. Really looking forward to it (huge fan of all the games, going back to the first one!) and hoping it will rock.

And I'm up and running about Skyrim now. :D

Nvidia beta drivers from yesterday installed, and SLI is active. The game is running beautifully at Ultra settings.

Time to order pizzas and breakout the adult diapers!

Is that a? no, nevermind, I really don't want to know.

Yep, I got my game, it's already crashed on me (during character set up actually LOL) But anyhow, pretty much the same as the last game, and that's not a bad thing....well, except they seem to have taken the typical stand that "more stuff" equals "better graphics" like everybody else lately.

Still love it though.

So I went to Gamestop today to get my reserved copy. I had pre-ordered both the game and the strategy guide. I figured if it was as great as the books for Morrowind and Oblivion, I'd defentily want that on hand in case I got suck and to read later. Other people were in line getting the game and when it was my turn I gave my receit of the pre-order. "Ah" the guy said. "One of the last pre-ordered games and guides." A girl came up a moment later (she worked there also) and slapped this massive, and I mean BIG freakin book, on the counter in front of me. My eyes went wide at how big it was and she just laughed. "I've seen that allready today" she said with a smile. "Rumor has it that the guide actually grows as you get more and more quests!" The three of us joked for a minute more as he rung me up and I paid for the game and the book. "I can imagine you guys have had a rough week" I said. "Between this and the new Call of Duty getting released." The guy just rolled his eyes. "I've allready worked 60 hours this week" he said. Getting home, I installed the game to my XBox but haven't had a chance to actually play yet due to other things going on. The map inside is cool but not as nice as I had hoped.

The book cost me $25 and weighs in at a total of 656 pages! :-o

You should consider deleting the game from your hdd for now. There is a bug that makes the graphics look really bad when the game is installed to the hdd. A patch is supposed to be coming but running from the DVD resolves it for now.

Really? Didn't know that...ah well. I'll guess I'll just need to deal with the slow load time.

Same here. I thought we were getting cloth maps like the old Ultima maps. It would have been nice, but it's not like I use the map anyway. I just use the in-game one.
