Just letting everyone know that I am selling my complete in box copy of Lemmings for Lynx. It is in very good condition and I want it to go to a real lynx collector rather than some one who is going to resell it. I am selling it because I just got a new in box copy of it and have now almost completed my collection. Thanks.

Ebay listing for Lemmings: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 250731635810

I shipped it I think on Wednesday...I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Let me know when you get it...I had a problem when I sold Rampage for Lynx to some one in Italy. They said they never got it and I did send it but stupidly threw away my shipping receipts because it had been like 20 days since the auction ended. I am still mad about that...I sold my beloved game and was out over $50.00.

Ok, I've got it today : very fast but shipping was $3.96 and I gave you $15.45 ...
If you can refund me of $10, the transaction is correct.

Let me know,
jean-christophe.

Yikes.
Why would you pay $15+ shipping for a Lynx Game?!

Not to sound rude but Ebay set that price not me for international shipping. I am talking to the other people that responded. I will refund you $9.50 ( I had a $2 handling fee) later this evening I am stepping out at the moment but wanted to let you know what is going on.

Actually, Ebay doesn't set shipping prices. They have a calculator you can use and sometimes it's off. In those cases, it would be appropriate to refund the buyer the excess shipping without having to be asked.

I agree 100% with that... and a handling fee for a Lynx game?! C'mon?! That is just silly.

You sound like an infomercial that sets a price at 3 monthly installments at $19.99 each, with free shipping, but a $45 processing fee and a $5 handling charge.
Merry Christmas... eh? LOL

That's the correct way of trading : thanks for your fast answer.

As a bonus, a picture of my games (I've got Batman returns and Alpine games too) : here.

Have a nice day,

You can conduct business how you want to and I will do the same. I don't appreciate your negative attitude with how I am conducting business. Perhaps you failed to realize that I had to purchase a box to ship the game in...who do you think should absorb that cost?...the seller?

Did you charge him for the gas it took to warm up your car? What about the oil your car used? Will you charge a percentage of your next oil change to your next customer? Will you refund him paypal fees associated with what he spent to send you the extra money in shipping? What about the ink in the pen used to write on the box that you purchased? And tape!!! We mustn't forget about the tape!!!! You have to pass the cost onto the buyer!! Heaven forbid.

Yes... I am a bit sarcastic at times. I can't help that. And you are correct... you conduct business as you see fit, and I will do the same. No harm... I'm just poking at you a little bit. If we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we truly laugh at?

:)

How do you think businesses operate? You think they arbitrarily set a price on a product? I am pretty sure they pay a price for a bulk amount of a product then determine what their operating costs are (ie cost to rent building, cost to heat building, cost in property taxes etc) then determine how much more than what they paid for the product they need to charge.

Since in my case the only two costs (other than ebay fees) to running my business are are shipping and the products I use to ship the item I am going to ensure that I don't take a loss on those. I don't see what is so hard to understand with this. I especially see nothing wrong with this since the buyer has not had a problem other than the one that was corrected.

I also notice that you did not complain when Lynx Poker was asking for more money if you wanted it in a box than that of a loose cart? How is that any different?

I'm sorry, but unless I'm missing something, you don't actually run a business. Do you have a business license, a business tax id number and are you planning on paying income tax on the sale of the game? I have no problem with someone charging actual shipping costs (including a box if for some reason you can't find one free somewhere), but the point is you gouged this guy on shipping to begin with and didn't refund him until he posted here. A reputable seller would never have had to be asked to do so. Instead of taking an offensive posture towards long-standing members here, as a new member who is using the site simply to resell stuff, you should probably be a lot more moderate in your tone and just admit you made a mistake and move on.

I don't see the relevance of when people joined to this conversation I am merely pointing out that I was not trying to rip anyone off ebay advised me that is what I should charge for shipping and once I realized the problem I corrected it. I apologize that I didn't realize sooner to appease all of the third party commentators on this site. If you read what the purchaser wrote on here you can see that he is not upset at all so none of you should be either because this does not concern anyone else but the buyer and me.

Its actually very easy to play, in fact its the best version of all. You get to pause the game to select your Lemming.

Oh and lets not discuss eBay 'stuff' here.

I really need to spend more time with this one as well. I actually lucked out and got this when I first bought a Lynx. It was one of the handful of games I received with the unit. I have messed with it a little bit, but not too much. I guess one of these days i need to breakdown and buy a boxed copy of this one as it is one of the loose games I have.

It is up to the mods to move it if I mistakenly put it in the wrong area..prior to today I had no idea there was another place for this since I only collect Atari Lynx games etc. I never scrolled past there.

Once I realized that the payment did not go through I sent it today. I assure you that I tried to send it on Dec 7, 2010 and I must have messed up somehow. When you responded with the bonus pic I assumed that meant you got your refund. I am sorry to you and only you JCP I did not mean for this to go this way if people (other than you) minded their business it would have gone down much smoother I assure you but as the seller I assume all responsibility.

Eric you are really an instigator...you really shouldn't instigate since you are such a well respected member of this community it makes you look bad. You should be minding your own business rather than instigating arguments and posting things that have no relevance or bearing on the conversation at hand. Tell me how does "C'mon Mr. business man...no refund yet?" add to the conversation. It doesn't.

i think my reputation speaks for itself. so i am not concerned as to my coimments in this thread ruining my reputation. not when i was razzing you and then you turned all serious with a lot of excuses. lets face the facts... you would not have refunded had it not been brought out in the public.

did i instigate? sure...a little bit. hit the ignore button if you choose not to talk to me. my little remark had everything to do with the topic. see...he finally got his refund.

people on this forum are very vocal against bad seller and trader practices. get used to that. if you overcharge...if you send a boxed game in a bubbleope-expect someone to say something about it. thats life on atariage.

you fixedf it... but you rubbed people the wrong way. i could care less now... i just happen to know one more ebay username i have to be careful about. so in all reality...i am happy this was in the public so we can all be careful about bidding on your items.

glad this is over now. :)
again...no hard feelings however be careful what you say to people that have resided in these forums for many many years.
