[DE2600]

I was hoping to get some ideas for a Christmas present. What are the some of the best titles available for PS3? Zombie or adventure type games preferably as this is what my son likes. Thanks in advance.

Zombie - Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition (not technically zombies) or Red Dead Redemption with Zombie Pack.
Adventure - Uncharted 2 (nothing else comes close)

You can't go wrong with those two but there's a lot:

Dead Space (no zombies just scary good fun), Assassins Creed 2, Bioshock.....theres a boat load of great stuff out there.

Probably Dead Rising 2 or Sacred 2 would do. Dead Rising 2 WILL nerf your PS3 firmware so it can't do homebrew though.

Yeah for adventure Uncharted and Uncharted 2. You can't go wrong since they're both pretty cheap now. The Red Dead Redemption Zombie thing can be purchased as a standalone game if you so choose. Red Dead Redemption is a great game though.

As for shooters Call of Duty 4 and Resistance. I like Resistance over Resistance 2. It's got aliens not zombies. It should also be dirt cheap by now.

How old is your son? I'm sure all the games mentioned are at least 15 rated (UK) not really ideal if he's 6!!

That's along the lines of why I didn't have a response. I have no idea what standard parents apply when searching for 'kid-friendly.' None of the above were going to be on my list. Age of Zombies (ps mini) was the only zombie game I could think of that'd be close, and even that has no shortage of unnecessary gore and cursing.
