Just a quick poll. I have a few options... and wanted to get a general opinion of the masses! I have a pretty good idea as to HOW this will go, but just want to make sure.

Please vote and give me your thoughts.

Option 1: Original Size:
Pros: Looks great, Looks even better when placed with other Lynx boxes, and looks fairly authentic.
Cons: on a 12X18" sheet... you can only fit one box template. You can fill out the rest of the page and extra space with other stuff.

Option 2: 1/2 inch shorter...
Pros: Still looks great. I can get 2 full box templates on the same sheet. So basically I can print 2 boxes for the price of one. More cost efficient.
Cons: Shorter then the others. Sticks out a bit.
Also means a shorter manual.

Option 3: no box... if you pick this option, you simply don't care about a box. LOL

Also... let me know your comments on this idea:
Special Edition:
I planned a completely different type of box style with 'extras' added in.
Do you care that it doesn't have an original styled type of Lynx Box? Or perhaps it could be a pack in as well.

I think that is going to be the norm. Not a really bad thing though. As I just built 2 different test boxes and they are stunning.
Now I need to work on the manual and the insert for the box.

In the end, it does not really matter. I am thankful for whatever you plan, as I am lucky to be on the list at all...

I would really like to play this game and the box really doesn't mean a whole lot. Alpine Games had its funky case and it really didn't matter at all. Its all about the game for me, not the box.

If I have to pick from the above IŽd like an original sized boy, but otherwise IŽd really love a plastic case like used for Lynxopoly and now Solitaire.

I think I knew the outcome of this was prior to posting it! LOL
I think it is safe to say I won't be cutting corners and will be making the regular sized boxes.

So... loose carts will be available.
Boxed carts will be available...
And a few special editions will be available as well. These will be a bit different as I have4 a really nice idea for these.

Sorry folks, but I think the plastic cases are out of the picture unless I can get a supplier to help me out and I can include them as part of the Special Edition carts...
Thank you for participating on this poll. I hope everyone here had a very good Christmas! I know I did!

The plastic boxes are great for homebrews as they keep them safe from evil postmen. I really like the original packaging from Zaku, but I did receive my box squashed, which is quite a shame... and I think the external hardware on the PCBs shouldn't be objected to too much stress. Of course the original box adds way more nostalgic feelings to the whole game. Is it possible to release a do-it-yourself pdf so we can safely create a carbon box back home, and receive the game in a solid metal-reinforced package? :P

Having Zaku come in the original style box, with the manual and cart just like the old days was really special - so if you can get something like that it would be a really nice thing.
That said, whatever makes it work out for you I'm sure would be good - personally, I'm just really grateful you (and the others helping you) are working on this game and releasing it. :)
