As strange as this sounds it seems the US Air Force bundled 17 PS3s together and created a supercomputer

Not only that, it looks like almost 300 of them have died on them. They originally had 2000 I believe. When they send them in to Sony to be refurbished/fixed, sony updated the firmware on them which makes them useless to the air force.

This is old news, and yes, they're pissed at Sony for the firmware update.

It makes me wonder if they'll do a special one off firmware update for them to make it useful to their stuff again? I mean this is the military we're talking about.
