Just curious if anyone has this and if it's good or bad. Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks.

G4 Review

This looks like more fun than the other console versions. also looks like it takes itself lees seriously. so tired of being brooded at by clinicly depressed game characters.

Just thinking whether I should get the one which is basically a series of mini-games or one that is a full-out adventure. I haven't been this tempted by a TRON game since the Intellivision wowed me with Deadly Discs (which I like playing), Maze-A-Tron (which could have been done better), and Solar Sailer (which I didn't get to enjoy much of when my INTV II died). Of course, there was TRON 2.0 for the PC and Xbox, but it wasn't much of a reason for me to take the plunge into getting an Xbox back in the day.

i guess it depends - i would get wii tron for the multiplayer to play with my kids.

also if your interested in tron games - GBA tron 2.0 has a good set of minigames and also has the 2 original arcade games. the main game is pretty mediocre though.

Just get both. That way you can play the mini games and the full blown adventure.

I just got Tron Evolution for the 360, and I wish I could enjoy it, if not for some controller moves that just only seem to work when it wants to, like trying to climb to the ledge by holding down RT while running toward it and then pressing A like you're supposed to, but most of the time it just keeps causing my character to make a wall jump when I don't want him to.

This, this, this.

I really tried to like this game, and it just decides to do what it wants to, when it does. They tried too much to be like the matrix and tron mixed, but it just doesn't work.

Multiplayer online isn't that fun either. Light cycles feel... sluggish, and the fact that when you jump in the air, you can press the bumpers to do a 90 degrees turn, while in mid air.. just doesn't feel right with me.

I didn't play the wii version but I will soon.

Okay, now I got it figured out. You're supposed to jump onto the wall and then hold down RT to pull yourself up. Now the game is a bit more fun.

The Wii version looks like a blast and we already love the film, so we'll probably get it.

I now got the Wii Battle Grids version of the game, and it's pretty good. Maybe not as good as the Xbox 360 version, but still it's fun enough.

So far the only multiplayer action that I can play is the Xbox 360 version. I was hoping multiplayer would also be on the Wii version, but it doesn't seem like that's included.

Hey guys - pardon me jumping in, but I actually work with Disney Interactive. There's no online multiplayer on TRON: Evolution Battle Grids, but to be honest we built it from the ground up for local multiplayer; one of the main reasons we worked so hard to streamline the controls as much as possible was to make it easy for anyone to pick up a controller and join in the fun. Don't write it off until you've tried Light Cycles with a couch full of buddies!

Also, for those of y'all who are enjoying Battle Grids, we actually just got a bunch of new cheat codes to distribute - check 'em out!

Disc Battle
o DBBombs
o DBHealth
o DBUnlimited
o DBFast
o DBTurbo

Tanks
o TKShield
o TKMissle
o TKMortar
o TKMines

Light Cycles
o LCSuperJump
o LCTallTrails (battle only)
o LCUltimateBarge
o LCSuperSharpSlide

Light Runners
o RUSuperJump
o RUSuperBullets
o RUNuclearMines

Hyper Ball
o HBAllPower
o HBKillerBalls
o HBBreakerBalls
o HBFastReturns
o HBSuperSpinner

Thanks!

What the Disney guy said: for local multiplayer you need to get the Wii version. Its controls are tight.

Story mode is a little short, but there is a nice reward/unlocking system with which you can accessorize your character that works in both the single and multiplayer modes--it supports multiple save files, allowing for each player to have their own level of customization and unlocking (meaning I can't use the same cool lightcycle my son has unlocked for himself because I haven't unlocked it yet).

Different game modes are very reminiscent of old school Unreal Tournament.

Its definitely fun, but not as "sticky" as I wanted it to be. We still pull it out though, and I imagine once the Disney XD shows airs, we'll probably get back to playing it more.

I think, though don't hold me to it, that Target has priced dropped it, or will soon. I swear I saw the DS game for $19.99.
