Monopoly is fantastic fun for the entire family. You can play against the computer - with skill levels you select - or get up to 10 players in on the action. It has special features such as a built-in battery so you can save games and play them later. Roll the dice with a push of a button. Your token comes to life and moves around the board! Buy companies and properties. Increase the value of your properties by building houses and hotels. Land on "Chance" or "Community Chest" and pick a card. With strategy and luck, you can become a winner. But you never know how the dice will roll!

Deadline for high scores is January 20, 2010.

Since Monopoly is such an odd choice for the HSC, I'll explain how the rankings work. You play a game all the way to the end (this game has a battery backup, so you can save and continue later), and whatever amount of money you have at the end is what you post here. It doesn't matter if you win or lose the game, because the real competition is happening here.

Side Challenge: Get one or more hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place.

Hmmm. I just got rid of this one, but I still have another. I kept the Mono Poly label variant.

What are the settings, 1 player vs computer or can 1 player control 2 players?
What computer skill? 1,2, or 3?

I played for awhile vs computer and got up to $1,050
This is one long game.
Me and the cpu each owned 13 properties.
It's cool the way the dog and train move around the board.

I can't put the darn computer out of business. It likes to mortgage their property when it runs out of cash.
The cpu just won't quit.

I think we should play a timed game. This game goes on and on and on.

My total time was less than 3 hours. Cpu player landed on my Boardwalk w/ 1 hotel and couldn't pay the rent. It mortgaged what it could and tried to sell me some properties. It gave up/ filed bankruptcy when it ran out of $.

Hmmm. It appears I've also met our newly mentioned side challenge.

2nd game. Got one in this morning. Assets: $14,832 + Ca$h: $6392 = Total: $21,224
And I do agree the train animation is the best one. I almost felt bad beating it.

I just realised that I never set up the next Game Gear round. Oh well, I'll just have to make up for that with a special round.
