My thoughts for Season 8...

Voting
This season I propose to keep only the 2nd place game on to the next vote. The others will go back in the pile and I'll pick out a few again in later votes. I'll try and keep a variety of games in each vote.

Scoring
If we had more than 15 players I'd be tempted to add more points say 15 down to 1 but I think will keep it 12 down to 1? Whatever system it is must limit the top players to keep things close!

Additional Rules
If you don't have the game that wins a vote you can play another game from your collection, preferably one new to the HSC. You will be awarded 2 points providing you make a few comments about the game (like a mini game review) and whether you think the game would make a good HSC game or not.

Open to other suggestions :ponder:

Seriously, I like all of those games but never heard of "Oil's well". But Ms. pac-man looks like will win. How about we have a prize for first place in season 8? Something like a Pooh bear. I don't mind giving away one of these A8 disk drive/joystick/keyboard interfaces to the winner:

That's very kind of you, I'll have to think of something I could offer too, maybe a personalised version of Gwobby Strikes Back (for the loser

best to get in there first) or inclusion of their avatar in my next project whenever that is

Oil's Well is an excellent fun game, best of it's type :thumbsup:

remember folks in season 8 only the 2nd place game will survive to the next vote - so you might want to vote tactically

Voting will close on Friday 13th at 10pm BST, looks like Ms Pac-man is a shoo in, and if 2nd place is tied then both games will roll over to the next vote. Games that don't make the cut will re-appear in later votes as they are all decent games worth playing

Season 8 scoring will be 12pts for 1st place, down to 2pts for 11th, but with an additional 2pts for 12th place too, then 1pt for the rest. Games will usually start and end on a Sunday. I've gone for the word "Round" rather than "Game" as this applies to games, bounus rounds, everything. Any suggestions welcome.

Remember you can add games to the games list at any time during the season. [Littleman Jack - you need to add some suggestions!]

One more thing, Sloopy will start the season on 10 points as a bonus for enrolling Offical Ninja, if you encourage someone to play then you will also get a 10pt bonus after they have played three games. (we'll soon catch him up

)

I'd better do some joystick maintenance, me thinks this season is going to be a toughie ;-)
