At first I didn't really care for it. I thought can you really get a good workout from a gaming device, and if so it must be boring. Plus it told me I'm obese  After playing some of the mini games on this though I started to like it, plus my kids love them and try to top mom and dad on the score board.

The jury is still out on the actual workout part though. Maybe if I deviated away from the mini games to the exercise selections more it might help.

I don't remember which one, but one of the raving rabbids games has you sit on the board and shake your booty to ski down a hill. That game I remember being fun as hell, and quiet a workout too :P

Wii Fit Plus isn't Gold's Gym, but anything that makes you move to burn calories has got to help. Depending on your current physical condition (overweight, sedentary, etc), spending 30min or an hour a day with Obstacle Course, Hula Hoop, Jogging, Stepping, etc while cutting some calories that would be normally consumed will surely help with weight loss and feeling a bit more fit.

As for fun, we've had friends come over for an evening and several times have brought out the balance board and had a blast with people competing in downhill skiing, heading the soccer balls, traveling the river, walking a tight rope, etc. From our experience, Wii Fit Plus can be as much fun as Wii Party or any other mini game collection.

I bought the Wii Balance Board the day it came out 2 years ago. Also traded in the original Wii Fit for Wii Fit Plus.

Now it just sits under the TV stand, collecting dust. The extra controller attachements (tennis rack, baseball bat, etc.), the steering wheel for Mario Kart, even Rockband 2 instruments... all now just lying around untouched.

The problem I find with almost 5 years of Wii ownership is that most titles and their accesories are flash-in-the-pan. After a few plays, they've become boring. I resisted on upgrading to the Wii Motion Plus as there were a small amount of titles made for it. The same for the Balance Board. A good game should be good regardless of it's gimmick controller.

My kids started trading in their Wii games for DS titles and PS2 games. They still play the evergreen titles like Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart and Wii Sports. And I ONLY use the Wii to play homebrew emulators like Atari 2600, N64 & NES.

Portable gaming is starting to become the rage with my family. My oldest wants an Ipod Touch for game apps.

i bought one for the family for christmas and had to send it back - had a problem sencing if somone was not standing on it. turns out to be a common problem according to the nintendo forums.

got it back last week- tried it for a few minutes. aside from insulting me it seems to work fine.

haven't really done anything with it yet. anyone recommend some fun games?

I LOVE IT!

Life has been way to busy lately for me to get the full benefit of them, but the Yoga section is a god send and the aerobic stuff provides a decent starter workout. I've since graduated to the EA NFL Trainer, which provides an even better workout, but I still look to Wii Fit for weight management and light exercise.

It's starting to grow on me more each time I use it. After getting better at some of the mini games and unlocking the higher skill levels it got a little more challenging and a lot more fun. I already mastered the Lotus Focus. My wife said it's because I'm good at sitting around and doing nothing. I also like the snowball throwing game since the other Miis pop out and I can hit my wife with a snowball and not get in trouble.

The snowball fight is great to work out some aggression! I suck at the Lotus Focus, but it is always fun to try. I think I've made it through maybe twice!

I love the obstacle course, the juggling (I thought I would hate it, but really like it!), the bicycling, and the skiing games.
