I bought Rec Room Games and Kids Sports Crazy Mini Golf and neither impressed me much.

Is there a good mini-golf game for the Wii that is easy to play?
What is the best mini-game compliation for the Wii?

I have Game Party 3 which is OK but I'm wondering if there is something better out there.
So far, most of what I've bought is shovelware at best.

Thanks!

Carnival Games: Mini Golf.

It can only be described as "so bad it's good". It's best played with friends/family while being caffeinated/sugar-loaded/drunk at night.

So Carnival Games: Mini Golf is rotten... are there any good ones?

I'll still pick up that title Koopa64 when it makes its way to the budget bin. :)

Mini game collections? Wario Ware, and Furu Furu Park. I think we're all familiar with Wario Ware, but Furu Furu Park is a bunch of 30-60 second games based on Taito classics. There's even a damn STUN Runner-alike in the mix, and it's good.

I bought this with high hopes. Boy, was I disappointed. What a piece of crap.

I guess it's an acquired taste sort of thing. I realize Carnival Games: Mini Golf is garbage... But there's something about this garbage that makes it fun to play with friends/family. Heck, even the motion sensing controls are broken. It's very easy to make just the right shots just by moving the Wiimote in any direction at the right speed. Nothing like playing Mini Golf while sitting on the couch.

I only recommend CG: Mini Golf if you have a thing for bad games. Funny thing is though, I haven't found a shovelware Wii games half as good as CG: Mini Golf. I keep telling my sisters that it was a total fluke of a purchase. The odds of them finding another great shovelware game are slim to none.

Heh heh, isn't that a funny combination of works? Great shovelware games... Ah, this hobby continues to surprise. :D

I actually enjoy the mini golf mode in Tiger Woods 2011.

There is very little information and no pictures of the box/game, but Amazon has a listing for Zany Golf by Destineer, which is releasing on March 8th. I am going to assume that this is the old Atari-Commodore mini-golf title updated for the Wii.

CLICK HERE for Amazon ordering page.

Metacritic.com...

Friends don't let friends buy shoveleware.

You'll never find Wario Ware for a good price--it still hovers around $30, but is a lot of fun. The closest match is the Raving Rabbids series, and there have been a ton of games in that series, so you can find one for a good price. Ubisoft is releasing the Raving Raddids Party Collection next week, which includes Raving Rabbids 1, 2, and TV Party all on one disc for $29.99. If you have a Best Buy Rewards Card you can score it next week for $19.99 if you use the $10 coupon they just emailed and snail-mailed you. You'll never run out of minigames then.

If you can get it for $12, Ninja Reflex is good. It released as a full price game ($49ish) and was totally not worth it at the time--and the reviews savaged it. But, as a cheap used game its a lot of fun, with lots of challenge, and it takes full advantage of the Wiimote.

Any Boom Blox game makes for decent multiplayer fun. Mario Party. If you have the money, Wii Fit Plus can be a lot of fun for multiplayer (taking turns--the Wii only supports one Fit board).

Re-reading my post and realized that I got no where near your original question.

My son was very interested in the golf game in Wii Sports, and I looked around for what else was available, and the answer is not much. I settled on Tecmo's Super Swing Golf 2, but the golfing mechanic is not as satisfying as Wii Sports. It seems that no one has been able to get this right--which is funny considering how well I think it would sell.
