I have a 130 xe that was working fine about a week ago. I turned it on today and it went right to the self test. I changed the keyboard to see if maybe it was a stuck key, but that didn't help. So, no matter what I do the self teat comes up even when a cartridge in inserted. Can anybody tell me why this would happen, and how I can fix the issue?

could be any number of things.
Do you get any red blocks on the ROM and RAM self test?
As it is an XE it is almost certain that the RAM has died

Yes, almost all of them are red.

you need to open it up and find out which RAM chips are used.
Remove and replace.
De-soldering can be tricky as the XE PCBs are crap and you can very easily damage a trace lift a pad etc etc

replace them all, they are probly MT ram, which are not good... remove both banks of ram and put new sockets/drams in, and you should be golden...
