This last week or so I have been contemplating the idea of a set schedule for the next season. In order to do something like this, I will need to do a survey of all the score-based Jaguar games that each of you own. Again, keep in mind that I'm just playing with the idea for now.. We will continue to talk about it and will find in the next few weeks if this is a good idea or not. For me to have the information I need now though, here are three things I would like you to do (newcomers, please participate in this as well!):

1. Copy-and-paste the following list into a reply. Simply remove all of the games that you do not own:

ALIEN VERSUS PREDATOR
ATARI KARTS
BREAKOUT 2000
BUBSY: FRACTURED FURRY TALES
CHECKERED FLAG
CLUB DRIVE
CYBERMORPH
DEFENDER 2000
DOOM
DOUBLE DRAGON V
DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY
EVOLUTION DINO DUDES
FLIP OUT!
HOVER STRIKE
I-WAR
MISSILE COMMAND 3D
PINBALL FANTASIES
PITFALL: THE MAYAN ADVENTURE
POWER DRIVE RALLY
RAIDEN
RUINER PINBALL
SOCCER KID
SUPER BURNOUT
SUPERCROSS 3D
TEMPEST 2000
TOTAL CARNAGE
TREVOR MCFUR
ZOOL 2
ZOOP

2. From there, pick your TWELVE favorite games from your list and number each from 1 to 12, with one being your favorite (or most-preferred to play if you absolutely had to). Please do not number these with rose-tinted glasses, as we will be playing these FOR SCORE. What games would be the most fun COMPETING with others in?

3. List your Telegames releases, Songbird Releases, Jaguar CD releases, and any other physical-media homebrew efforts. Include these separate from bullets 1 and 2. I simply want to get an idea of how many people own these more expensive titles, and for the sake of having the greatest amount of players as possible, would like to figure whether they should even be included in the HSC at all.

That's it for now..

Thanks for quickly getting that together. I appeciate your outlook, too--it's certainly not about what's the "best" in the typical sense--it's about what will be the most fun to play for competition!

I have every single Jag game on CD and Cart so no problems there.

On to what I want to actually play, I actually found this really hard as most of the games you list are ones we played last season so it seems very recent. I went for a mix of games I wanto play this season and favourites of mine.

1. Missile Command 3D (VR Mode)
2. Missile Command 3D (Original Mode)
3. Defender 2000 (Plus Mode)
4. Atari Karts
5. Tempest 2000 (Orginal Mode)
6. Super Burnout
7. Club Drive
8. I-War
9. Total Carnage
10. Pinball Fantasies
11. Powerdrive Rally
12. Crescent Galaxy

I am trying to get an accurate representation on what would give us the most consistent HSC in terms of player count. Last season we may have had close to ten people one round, then under five the next. Usually it was less and the reasoning so was that people simply did not have the games. Also, even if we have played many of these in the last round, most of those titles have other modes, tables and tracks to compete on.

Maybe just a thread of all around running high scores. With screen shots. The timed ones sometimes people are too busy to participate at that time or whatnot. But the running high score you can jump in when you can and go for it. Post screen shots etc. And just keep leap frogging each other. :)

Just one thing I would like to add... I think getting input is great, but the longer we go without a game to play, the more people will lose interest...

I appreciate that, maybe an interim game just for fun? that way you don't have to moderate the games tables etc... When the HSC was running I was in the Jaguar forum multiple times in a week, now I just come in to see if a new gmae has started...

I've got all of the official Jaguar cart and CD games including all Songbird, Telegames, and B&C titles. I'm only missing Battlesphere and a few of the 'lesser' beta/homebrew CDs.

I don't really have any preference about what to play... part of the fun for me has been the incentive to dig out some of my underplayed Jaguar games.

Anyone else planning on doing this? I know there are a few new players out there that showed interest in participating at the start of the new season.

I own most Jaguar games, and what I don't own I have a way to load.

The only games I would not be able to load or play would be Battlesphere Gold or Mad Bodies.

As some of you may know, I have a lot going on in my personal life at the moment and I don't have a lot of time available to dedicate to this. I hope to be back at it though in a week's time at the most. I'm looking forward to getting the ball rolling on the new season. I'll keep you posted. :)

All right guys.. I have sifted through the submissions in this thread and have compiled a few lists. I have determined that we will use a set schedule for this next season, and the determined games are on this list. In the next week or so (possibly the next couple of days) I will start a new thread with the set schedule and the new scoring system (Yep, you read correctly).

With that, here are my findings:

MOST COMMONLY OWNED GAMES:
- Culmination of all the submissions;
- Telegames/Songbird/CD releases removed due to minimal amount of players owning them;

8 XXXXXXXX ALIEN VERSUS PREDATOR
8 XXXXXXXX ATARI KARTS
6 XXXXXX BUBSY: FRACTURED FURRY TALES
8 XXXXXXXX CHECKERED FLAG
7 XXXXXXX CLUB DRIVE
9 XXXXXXXXX CYBERMORPH
5 XXXXX DEFENDER 2000
8 XXXXXXXX DOOM
6 XXXXXX DOUBLE DRAGON V
6 XXXXXX DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY
7 XXXXXXX EVOLUTION DINO DUDES
5 XXXXX FLIP OUT!
9 XXXXXXXXX HOVER STRIKE
5 XXXXX I-WAR
7 XXXXXXX MISSILE COMMAND 3D
5 XXXXX PINBALL FANTASIES
6 XXXXXX PITFALL: THE MAYAN ADVENTURE
7 XXXXXXX POWER DRIVE RALLY
8 XXXXXXXX RAIDEN
7 XXXXXXX RUINER PINBALL
7 XXXXXXX SUPER BURNOUT
6 XXXXXX SUPERCROSS 3D
9 XXXXXXXXX TEMPEST 2000
7 XXXXXXX TREVOR MCFUR
8 XXXXXXXX ZOOL 2
6 XXXXXX ZOOP 2

TOP 12 MOST COMMONLY OWNED GAMES:
- These will be the games we play in this upcoming season;
- All games owned by 9 and 8 players added by default;
- Games owned by 7 players added based on how many votes were on them;
- All games had the highest amount of preferred-votes;
- 12 equals a full season (roughly six months of two-week rounds);

( 9 ) CYBERMORPH
( 9 ) HOVERSTRIKE
( 9 ) TEMPEST 2000
( 8 ) ALIEN VERSUS PREDATOR
( 8 ) ATARI KARTS

( 8 ) DOOM
( 8 ) RAIDEN
( 8 ) ZOOL 2
( 7 ) POWER DRIVE RALLY
( 7 ) SUPER BURNOUT
( 7 ) MISSILE COMMAND 3D

FOR THOSE THAT ARE CURIOUS, THESE ARE ALL OF THE GAMES THAT WERE RATED:
- Again, sans-Telegames/Songbird/CD releases;

7 VOTES: TEMPEST 2000 (PICKS: 1 1 1 4 5 9 11; 4.57 AVERAGE)
6 VOTES: ATARI KARTS (PICKS: 1 2 4 4 4 6; 3.5 AVERAGE)

Nice work Austin. I own 11 out of the 12 games, so that should mean I am more competitive this season. It also looks like a nice mix of previously played games and new games, so things should stay fresh. Can't wait for the Schedule and scoring. Great job! :D :thumbsup:
