I don't know if anyone has tried this thing or not, but it rocks. The new menu driveen interface is very cool. It has nearly every 5200 game on it, except Super Pac Man and Bounty Bob (Super Pac Man is there, but it's unplayable.) For those who aren't into collecting and just want to play the games, this thing rules!

yeah i got one of those.. except it's years old, has a dip-switch and a paper xerox label and even the games list is wrong (a couple of games get repeated at the end, and the settings for Stargate which is on the cart isn't even listed). Maybe it'll become a collector's item, but I sure wish I could trade it in for a newer model :P

This has been done a few times recently:
You can sell your old multicart on ebay(with a reserve of course) and make enough to buy a new version!

Yes, it's very cool.

And happily. I just dropped him a line about getting the 5200 one. I wonder if he includes the two new 5200 carts the Al's just dumped here on AA though? :ponder:

The Al's didn't dump those and those 2 games have been on Sean's multicart for a couple of years so you don't need to worry. :)

I also sent Sean an email a couple of days ago. I really want to get the new 5200 multicart. I had the old one, but I get wait to get the new version. For those who have not dealt with Sean, he makes great quality multicarts and has contributed greatly to the classic gaming community.

Why does SuperPacman not work though? It seems to work on the 5200 emulators ok (I play it on the Dreamcast). Is it some kind of temporary thing that will be fixed later? Or is that the way it's going to be.

See, I'd rather not get a new one then find out later that SuperPacman was made to work because then I'd essentially be in the same boat! :P

It's just one of those unsolved mysteries. No one's come up with a reason why yet. It just won't work for whatever reason.

I found Sean's Web site the other day and he actually will accept a trade-in on the old Multi-carts. He will give you $30 for it as credit towards a new multi-cart which he charges $125 for (includes shipping). You would probably get more selling on Ebay though. The new cart sounds like a great deal and a huge space saver. By the way, the new multi-carts are able to be reconfigured with any new games he adds. All you would have to do is send in your cart and he would add the new games (I think he charges $15). You don't have to worry about having to purchase a new cart every time a game is added. If I find the site again, I will post it.

Sean is a great guy! I got his menu driven cart as soon as it came out and have not been disappointed. I have read several posts on AA with potential fixes for the Super Pac-Man problem. They were sent to Sean, but I don't recall if he responded.

I think I'm going to be buying a 5200 multicart sometime soon, I just got a 5200. The power supply should be in the mail and I just got my controller in the mail today, so pretty soon I should be able to play some games. If NE146 or anybody else wants to sell their old multicart to me, just send me a PM. If I can't get an older one for somewhat cheap, I guess I'll eventually buy the new multicart.

If you get the latest version, it will more than pay for it's self with the time and money spent trying to obtain all the games. Any version is a good verison, but I think only the latest has Asteroids...but I'm not positive.

Well just realize that if/when I sell this thing, for obvious reasons I'm going to try and get as much or as close I can get to the price of a new one  So maybe I'm not the best person to snag it from ;)
