Can battery pack/power plug be used when batteries are still in?

i have done it before... i wasn't electrocuted nor did my Lynx blow up. i dont know if there are long term issues with this but I've done it for a few years and my Lynx still works and i don't twitch or have any other strange side effects.

It is fine to have the Lynx plugged in with batteries in the Lynx. :)

Aah thanks. Just wanted to make sure. So far I have always taken one rechargeable out because one place on the internet (which I normally trust a lot) states it would "blow up" the Lynx (same source that states a 500 mA power plug would be enough, which I have found wrong; by now I got an Atari original anyway, which gives 1 A).
