Hello,

just want to let you know that i've put an ZIP-archive with
my Clicks!-game on my Lynx-website.
http://home.t-online..._eng.htm#CLICKS
Clicks! is a variation of samegame (or Swirl by Sega), i started this
in summer 2001 and the project was on halt since june 2001.

Perhaps some of you may have fun with this version :)

Cool -- it's about time someone did a version of this simple but addictive game on the Lynx. It's probably an excellent programming exercize as well.

I liked it! But I don't get the scoring system? Also, it's maddening that I can't clear the whole board!

Hi Greg, Eric!

1) The game isn't as polished as it should be: It started as a samegame-variant (where you can't erase single tiles), but later i made it being
closer to Sega's Swirl (scoring system). Unfortunately the scoring system doesn't fit to the big playfield (Swirl has only 10*10 tiles per playfield).
Currently you can decide to keep all red tiles on the screen and erase single tiles/smaller groups of tiles with the other colours which will create a big group of red tiles at the end giving you a super-big positive score.

2) Wasn't there a menu-option for being allowed to erase single tiles in the main-screen? And another one for only 4 colours? ;)

Looks like a very cool game!!! Any chance we will see this game completed in SIMIS 2? ;) You know if Bastian is working on any Lynx projects? You did a great job with Sankebyte, I acually think that game is the strongest in SIMIS.

I think it could stand for itself, at least if i would add all the network- and tournament-features as Swirl has.
And at the moment there are no plans for another Multicard.
But i can understand that people would prefer to purchase a multicard, because chances are higher to find at least one of the games good.

No.

Thanks, most other people prefer Space Invaders :)
Interestingly i get a lot of mails from people who are searching
a Snakebyte-version for DOS, Windows or Mac. But i don't now of any
program which is as close to the original game as my Lynx-version is.

Matthias
