After you mod a FB2 two things must happen to allow the built in games to be used: 1) Flip switch back to internal games 2) Remove any cart you have in the machine So if you have hard wired the Harmony Cart in you will not be able to use the built in games. cd-w
so there's no way to disable the onboard rom? i want the fb2 hardwired to harmony You could dump the fb2 games and store them on the Harmony. Chris
brojamfootball
so there's no way to disable the onboard rom? i want the fb2 hardwired to harmony First post said you wanted to play the onboard games after doing mod but could not do it. Now you say you want to disable the onboard games. Which is it? First post said you had the harmony functioning. If so you are done. Unless you want to play the onboard FB2 games--then refer to my prev post. With a cart in the slot(or hardwired harmony cart which it seems you have) you cannot play onboard FB2 games---even if you flip your switch. You still must remove cart or uninstall hardwired harmony to get onboard FB2 games to play. Having a cart in the machine(or hardwired in) causes certain lines to be connected that will not allow onboard FB2 games to run no matter which way you flip your switch. -
sermajic
noticed games as H.E.R.O. work from harmony on flashback 2 though not from cart wondering if games like pitfall 2,fatal run ,etc could be modded to play on flashback too... +batari
noticed games as H.E.R.O. work from harmony on flashback 2 though not from cart wondering if games like pitfall 2,fatal run ,etc could be modded to play on flashback too... The problem is that the A12 line is always high on the FB2 so there's pretty much no way to tell the difference between a TIA access and either an access to Pitfall II's DPC registers or Fatal Run's (and others') SARA RAM writes. Perhaps someday the FB2 designers will tell us if there are any signals available to us on the "Michelle" chip that could substitute for the A12 line and make these games work. Dreammary
I would like to see pictures of this project, as it sounds to be quite interesting.
