How long did the system live, from the time it hit the market until the time it died? I'm reading the history on this site, and it's not telling me when it stopped selling.

I'm to lazy to look it up but I think it was discontinued in '91.

I believe it was 86-90 or 91.

Ah, so the last of the games came out in '90, and it was officially discontinued in '91? I don't remember seeing a game with a copyright date higher than '90.

A detailed timeline of events surrounding the Atari 7800 ProSystem's existance may be found on the 7800 History page at Atari 7800.com. You may visit the history page at http://www.atari7800...800/history.htm

Ah, I see. Atari stopped releasing games in 1990, and stores stopped carrying 7800 products in 1992. 2 more years and it could have matched the NES.

Just a question, Basketbrawl is from 1990, is it from the last run of games?

Klax and Sentinel both have copyrights of 1991 - although Klax was never released... but the box for Sentinel says 91...

Cheers!

But Sentinel was PAL only, wasn't it? Everything got wider release in Europe.

I thought I was given to understand that NTSC prototypes of Sentinel existed. I've got the Tizoc mod to the PAL one to make it NTSC and it's a lot of fun to play. :D

I knew about the prototypes, but I meant official releases.
