This is why I spend time on micros now.

They feel like the classic systems. AVR, Propeller, etc... There is a small game scene, with some good games, lots of WIP, and tinkering. If you just want to play, it's not the best yet. But, if you like to play and learn and build, there is fun to be had.

There are some efforts to blend the old and the new too. Not sure what I think about those overall, but Harmony sure does enhance a VCS. The C64 guys have their video add on, and we've got that VBXE. Who knows? Maybe that will pay off some, keeping it fresh, or it's just a fad.

Now, here's an idea: Atari comes out with a touch tablet for under $100. :)
