hi i downloaded batari basic for linux is their an ide that works with this version?

I guess their wont be one then...well if anyone wants to install bataribasic in linux their is a nice easy tutorial here

check out jEdit. I haven't worked on making it fully integrated, but I do have a syntax coloring mode file for it in this blog entry.

I don't actually code for bB so there might not be everything you need in that file, but it's a start.

I've been having trouble installing this in Ubuntu for the last hour, I just followed your tutorial and it is all working.

Yes I saw that topic when I was searching for my answer to this problem. Thanks for letting me know though.

Now that I've got the compiler working I will try installing VisualbB tomorrow.

I could only get simple bB programs to compile in Linux in the shell. I had no luck using Mono to run VisualbB but I didn't try too much.

I haven't given up but I'm switching back to Windows for now so I can spend time programming instead.

I've used Linux before but I've only recently started using Ubuntu as my regular OS. So if anyone has any advice for a Linux newbie using bB (or Linux in general) it would be appreciated.
